  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ryan Gosling sought family-friendly storytelling in ‘Project Hail Mary’: ‘It’s hard to find’ [exclusive]

I saw the movie, I liked it. The fact that some people acted unethically (arguably) during it doesn't make it unfriendly to families, or Christians, for that matter. A lot of people behave unethically in the Bible as well. I have to admire how Gosling's character took a tough situation that...

'Come and take it': Texas county rebuffs FFRF's demands to remove Ten Commandments from courthouse

Forget the country, they're the basis of the world. Anyway, I'm sure there are legal proceedings in the works.

Confused about Christian nationalism? I was, too, and I'm a Christian journalist.

Unfortunately, everything is used as a weapon these days. Especially labels. As a conservative, my ilk is routinely called racists, fascists, Nazis, authoritarians, homophobes, and yes, Christian Nationalists. Among other unflattering things.

Confused about Christian nationalism? I was, too, and I'm a Christian journalist.

This is close to what I understand the definition of Christian Nationalist to be. I would say a Cristian Nationalist is a Christian (at least in name), who is also a patriot, who also wants to make laws to enforce their religious beliefs. That's how I understand it. Of course non-Christians...

    How the Right promotes socialism

No you're not a Christian, or no you're not saying that? I'm just asking because somehow I was under the impression that you were a Christian. I like to understand where people are coming from.

Wait, are you saying you are not a Christian?

    How the Right promotes socialism

That's exactly what I've been saying, the Democrats have embraced the Socialists.

    How the Right promotes socialism

You misunderstood my statement. I was saying whether we have healthcare through the government or private business, my guess is corruption is going to enter into it either way. But they are. I didn't make up the term Democratic Socialists, that's what they are calling themselves. Democratic...

    How the Right promotes socialism

Socialism is not my word. And we are not using it as a dog whistle. It is your Democratic Socialists who are labeling and marketing themselves as that. If you're not defending socialism, what is all this business about how government can do things so much better than the private sector...

    How the Right promotes socialism

First off, I'm not young. Second, you mock me with laughter even though every word I wrote in my post is true. Then you patronize me with your pity because I don't share the same opinion as you? I'm not saying everything is a Marxist plot. For my part, I believe your intentions are good, but...

    How the Right promotes socialism

There absolutely are Marxists in America. The founders of BLM self identified as Marxists. They took their experience running LGBTQ protests and brought it to BLM. The tactics used in the "summer of Floyd" were Marxist tactics.

    How the Right promotes socialism

As a conservative, of course the idea of rampant Communism and Socialism bothers me. Why wouldn't it? With regard to free healthcare and college, I would just say that nothing is "free". It just depends on what, how much, and who pays the cost? I am not against helping people who really...

Trump and Hitler independent of Nazism

You're only looking at things from your perspective. As a conservative, believe me, it's no fun being called Nazis, fascists, racists or whatever the current talking point insults are. Those are some very nasty accusations. I don't like the way Trump insults people either. I'm saying both...

Trump and Hitler independent of Nazism

The left demonizes huge portions of its population as well (depicting conservatives as Nazis, fascists, racists, garbage, basket of deplorables, clinging to guns and religion, etc.). So we're all in the same boat.

Trump and Hitler independent of Nazism

Depends on who writes the history books. So that may largely depend on who emerges victorious in the current ideological battle taking place in the US right now. Personally, I think comparisons between Trump and Hitler are silly, but the left likes to keep a connection between the two names.
