  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    If abortion is illegal...

No, no, no! Don't play the "no offense" game. People say that because they think it allows them to be insulting without being blamed for it. You can go ahead and say what you're going to say, and my natural response could be to get offended. Saying "no offense" beforehand won't free you from...

    Is Objectivism a cult?

More like "Randroids"! :P That being said, I wouldn't really call them a cult. They're just atheists who don't like paying taxes. kind of like Republicans, except they don't believe in God.

    If abortion is illegal...

The previous "version" of Christendom (Catholicism) was corrupt, flawed, and did not always adhere to the bible (like purgatory, where's that in the Bible?) There have been obvious improvements since the reformation, so if a true Christendom was established in a near-future Protestant America...

    If abortion is illegal...

No. What does this have to do with anything? I don't think life as a whole is one big poker game, but politics is. For better or worse, we live in a democracy and elections are determined by votes. If we want political power, we'll need votes, and to get votes we'll need voters and to get more...

    If abortion is illegal...

You know what? I say keep abortion legal. This way, we true Christians won't kill our children, but the false christians and the atheists will abort their children. Thus, we true Christians will have more children, and so there will be more true Christians in the next generation. Over many...

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

I think I've said all I needed to say on this matter in the comment which you quoted.

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

Exactly! I don't think this will matter. As long as Christians have enough extra babies to cover the losses due to losing the faith, it will still work out. This may mean that conservative Christians will have to have 8-12 children. It is also important that we preserve our teachings so that...

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

It is apparent that some so-called "Christian communities" are anything but, as they do not follow God's Word in its entirety. You can't just pick and choose to not follow some of Christ's teachings and expect to be called a true Christian by those of us who choose not to murder our...

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

The problem is that making abortion illegal is not going to change people and make them come to Christ. If we were to make abortion illegal, the abortionists are just going to fight back and might make abortion legal again some time in the future. I think the final solution to this problem will...

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

If they have abortions, they aren't really Christian. And as for the culture of life: lets see in 40 years, when Christianity is the law of the land and abortionists wield little to no political power due to being outnumbered by pro-lifers.

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

I'm not saying that we should replace 200 years of laws with the ten commandments, I'm saying we should add the ten commandments on to our existing laws.

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

I think it may turn out to be the more humane choice in the long run. If we allow abortionists to lower their birth rate with abortion, eventually they will drive themselves into extinction, and only pro-lifers will remain. By increasing the influence of Christianity on society you will save a...

    Does sexism still exist?

Of course there is sexism in Christianity. This is demonstrated by the fact that some denominations don't allow women to be priests, ministers, or bishops or have important roles in the church. The question isn't whether Christianity is sexist, the question is whether this is a bad thing. God...

Is keeping abortion legal good for Christianity?

With the election of Barack Obama, it is apparent that conservative Christians will be unable to influence abortion law in the near future. But even though we lose the battle, we may end up winning the war in the far future by keeping abortion legal. It's simple, really. Conservative...

Should people be punished for not keeping the sabbath holy?

Then is it okay to murder?! Give me a break. We can't just ignore the commandments, they aren't just obscure Jewish laws that we can ignore. More importantly, disobeying the commandment is disrespectful to God. The law in the Torah that we are not obligated to follow is the part that says we...
