  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Why creationists reject evolution

Not even the Bible literalists try to claim that the Bible was actually written by God. Divine inspiration is as good as you get unfortunately. You mean people who say that the sky is not, in fact, made of "firmament" with holes in it for rain and people who say that it's impossible to make...

    Why creationists reject evolution

Basically what you mean is "I am willing to creatively interpret everything even though the new interpretation bares no relation to the original to try to retrospectively rationalise my beliefs in scientific terms." Why dont creationists just keep their views as faith without constantly making...

Why aren't billions being poured into creation science research?

Our claim is scienific and has been observed within human lifetimes. Anti-biotic resistant bacteria, for example, and bacteria that can degrade nylon. If you believe it isnt scienific, then please put forwards some reasoning for this view rather than just making vague assertions. Your view is...

    Worldviews mean everything

There is only one truth, and the literalist christian view is not it. The old Testament talked of a "firmament" that seperated the "waters above" from the "waters below" and it rains because there are "windows in the firmament". Genesis says that plants were created before the sun, as was night...

Why aren't billions being poured into creation science research?

That should prove amusing and also somewhat wasteful of resources. As I have said before, science isnt about trying to retospectively trying to find evidence for as yet unsubstantiated theories which do not predict anything whatsoever, which is probably why all the creationist "evidence"...

Schools should discuss flagellum the same way Darwin discussed the eye?

That is precisely what I said. Of course you should inform people of inconsistencies. What you should not do is try to use the criticisms to make a wider political point or to attempt to unfairly discredit evolution.

    "You weren't there."

Actually you can see evolution and we have see it. Examples: antibiotic resistant bacteria, bacteria that can degrade nylon, Etc.

Why aren't billions being poured into creation science research?

If ICR is the level of creation research that would be going on, then it isnt worth spending a single penny on it. All ICR does is mash other peoples' research into articles with out of context quotes, misleading implications and occassionally straight evangelism in the NARRATION with nothing to...

Schools should discuss flagellum the same way Darwin discussed the eye?

It depends really. If it's taught as "This is an unresolved question." then that is fine. If it is taught as "This tiny nitpicking detail which hasnt been explored fully enough to definitively say if evolution can explain it means that evolution may be invalid." then I would say not.
