the Church's teachings regarding Spiritual gifts

Whoa....I think I found a partial answer to my own question! Here's INSTRUCTION ON PRAYERS FOR HEALING Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith I didn't finish reading it, but it explains how to go about praying for healing, from the CDF, signed by our current Pope (then, Ratzinger)!!

the Church's teachings regarding Spiritual gifts

Hi guys, I've been wondering: What does the Church teach regarding the spiritual gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 (and Romans 12)? It seems protestants are the only ones who seem to teach quite a bit about them, yet I haven't come across much Catholic literature. Can anyone recommend...

What will become of the Jesuits?

It's interesting to compare SSPX with the Chinese CPA. The one thing that I find odd is that the CPA is blatantly against the Church's moral teachings concerning contraception, abortion, etc, yet SSPX doesn't stray from the Church's teachings. Rapture

The Church never taught the rapture. It's a protestant idea.

To our apologists! The good thief and baptism!

The idea that the 'good thief' (sounds kinda funny doesn't it?) went to paradise suggests that baptism of desire is a reality, thus doing away with the 'feenyite' claim that those who aren't baptized into the Catholic Church are doomed forever.

Outside the Church, there is no salvation.

I also found this post a bit disturbing to read, particularly because of the way it was worded. I'd have to disagree with you here. That statement sounds as if Orthodoxy is so different Catholicism as if it's as different as Hinduism. Do catholics and orthodox disagree on 99% of the...
