CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I originally joined this forum in July 2022 (aged 16) while lacking any true conviction to Christianity. I just happened to grow up in conservative online circles which embraced Christianity so I became fond of it. Although prior to this, I did get a Bible when I was 12 in December 2018. I tried but failed to read through much of it although I did profess faith regardless, even if my family was relatively secular (never went to church).
I started becoming agnostic sometime after my 14th birthday in 2020 but even prior to then, my version of Christianity was incredibly blasphemous. I believed faith was not needed to go to heaven (false), that Jesus' resurrection was actually spiritual and not physical (false), and that God was not the creator of existence but existence itself (false again).
Fast forward to March 2023, I began studying Christianity and by July 2023, became a regular churchgoer and had faith for the first time. While I have undergone trials ever since that have arguably weakened my interest in Christian apologetics, I do continue to profess faith and stubbornness to the devil (please pray for me regardless). I plan on getting baptized sometime in 2025 or a little later.
