  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ethiopia drought: UK pledges £38m in food aid

shame it wasnt so simple as just piping in billions of billions of gallons of seawater hundreds and hundreds of miles inland to make artificial lakes to maybe kick-start the precipitaton cycle... (I know that is impossible I'm just saying) until they get water, it will be forever like this.

Ethiopia drought: UK pledges £38m in food aid

£38m doesnt even buy quarter or a warplane :-( Africa had lacked safe water for generations, surely something could have been done by now? The drought is the final straw for most, cant believe the pictures on the TV, genuinely made me gasp out loud "Oh Lord" not in vain but a call out to him...

    Ifant baptizm

It doesn't matter which denomination the child is baptised, in infant baptism the parents and godparents declare their promise to raise the child in the Catholic Church, in the Anglican church they promise to raise the child as a Christian. Either way, when the child is older they can choose to...

    Sacramento church implements dress code

I don't claim to know everything, or know who is right, though we could quote scripture all day, I am not here to win or lose an argument. Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or...

    Sacramento church implements dress code

I go to Church in Jeans and a Hooded Sweatshirt.. the fact that I am there is more important than what I wear. Whilst I agree short skirts and low tops are inappropriate, as they do distract, the whole suit and tie requirement thing is a bit elitist is it not?

    The tower of Babel.

I have been reading lately about the tower of Babel, and take it as it is written, and do believe that man was trying to build up to the heavens (but obviously got nowhere near) God scattered the people for a reason, so I don't know what to make of Google Translate and Babel with me which...

Why teach creationism in public school science classes?

Where did I say I was indoctrinating my Children? They have a Bible story book, they hear the stories, I do not state they must believe such and such, I do not say this is fact, that is wrong etc. It is up to them if they want to believe, I show them what I do, they do not HAVE to do...

    Children During Worship

In our church, the children are in Sunday school until communion, when they come down for a blessing then sit in the front row. this is 20 minutes from the end, so not too much for young children. I had my Daughter with me in the services from when she was 8 days old until 2 years old :-D, now...

Do Anglicans believe that one MUST be baptised in order to be saved?

Anglicans do baptise Infants as a means of welcoming them into the Church, and washing away original Sin, then at confirmation, they re-affirm the promises made on their behalf. I however have not Baptised my children, mainly due to not having the full support of their father, and the...
