  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No pre-trib rapture can be found in Rev.!

No, your theory is shot. Keep in mind that chapters 4 and 5 depict the scene in heaven before the opening of the seals, etc. You cannot rip a verse out of context and move it to chapter 19, or anywhere else, for that matter. Also, this verse is topically irrelevant. Keep in mind that chapters...

    Manipulation Theology

I agree completely. This forum has really deteriorated over the past year of two. Many of the thread titles read more like the headlines in a cheap tabloid. And as is true in the tabloids, there is an over-emphasis of sensationalism, not to mention plenty of far-fetched conspiracy theories...

No pre-trib rapture can be found in Rev.!

It is predominently chronological, except for parenthetical sections. In any case, this section makes no mention of the rapture, because it does not occur within the 7 year period under discussion and is therefore irrelevant.

No pre-trib rapture can be found in Rev.!

LOL! Of course no explicit mention of a pre-trib rapture can be found in Revelation! And all of this is a powerful argument in favor of a pre-trib rapture. Keep in mind that, with the exception of a couple of "parentheses" like chapter 12, chapters 4 through 19 are a chronological account of the...

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

No, I did not say that “Israel of God” referred to unbelieving Jews. I said the exact opposite! To quote exactly, I said, “The term ‘Israel of God’ in Gal 6:16 is best seen as believers within the church who also happened to be ethnic Jews.” These are...

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

Again, you apparently have failed to to grasp what I said earlier. The context of Galatians 6:16 is NOT the context of Galatians chapter 3. You cannot rip a phrase of only three words out of context, attach your own meaning to it and build an entire theology out of it. You cannot take this...

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

Although you quoted my post here, you apparently failed to even read it! Thus far I agree with you, as you will see if you read what I just said. To repeat what you apparently missed before, we are all called "Jews" and "seed of Aaraham", but never "Israel". These terms are not interchangeable...

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

The church is never called "Israel" in Scripture. It is true that believers are called "Jews" and "seed of Aaraham", but never "Israel". Check your above references again. The term "Israel of God" in Gal 6:16 is best seen as believers within the church who also happened to be ethnic Jews...

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

As I indicated before, you are abolutely right in seeing Matt. 24:29-31 as describing a post-tribulation event. But Matt. 24:31 is not speaking of the rapture at all. Keep in mind that the Olivet Discourse deals with Israel and the Gentile nations exclusively. Matt. 24:31 is describing a...

No pre-trib rapture can be found in Rev.!

Of course there is no explicit mention of a pre-trib rapture in Revelation! Neither is it mentioned in Leviticus. There is no mention of a post-trib rapture in Revelation either. Beyond chapter 3, Revelation is only concerned with what happens on the earth.

No pre-trib rapture can be found in Rev.!

I assume then, that you do not believe that the writings of the Apostle Paul are inspired!

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

You need to do a study of the term "day of the Lord", using a concordance and trace it through the entire Bible. This is a technical term that always refers to the tribulation period, to the millennium, or to both. Even the phrase "that day" almost always refers to this period as well. If you...

The Official Discussion:Is There A Pre,Mid Or Post Trib Rapture Or Not

There is no reason to call the rapture another "coming" of Christ to the earth. There is no indication that He returns all the way at that time. Instead, believers are caught up to meet Him "in the air" (I Thes 4:17). Matt. 24:31 is not speaking of resurrection at all. The use of the word...

Olivet Discourse and Revelation Same Event?

I believe that the question, "Olivet Discourse and Revelation Same Event?" is really something of an oversimplification. Both of these prophesy many individual events, and one would need to go through the two texts, event by event to decide which are the same and which are not. Some events in...
