The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

Ok, thanks for that explanation. I guess maybe only Amil would tend to take Revelation 1:7 in a literal way.

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

I would think Premil also has to interpret every eye seeing Him as not being literal in some kind of way. Obviously those who physically pierced Him are now physically dead. The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. Wouldn’t a strictly literal interpretation...

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

I thought so too, the website I got that from was greekbibleversion.com. They only have the book of Daniel translated into English. Maybe some other websites have the rest translated.

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

I’ve asked this question before to others who think we are still in the times of the Gentiles, and I can’t get a straight answer from them. Maybe you do have a good answer, the question is this; once the times of the Gentiles ends, what would be the next time period? The times of the Jews again...

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

Most people associate the city being trodden under foot by Gentiles in Revelation 11:2 with Luke 21:24 where Jerusalem is trodden down of the Gentiles. Do you think Jerusalem in Luke 21:24 should be interpreted as spiritual Jerusalem?

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

I think this rendering probably causes issues for those who think the covenant is a document that gets signed because of the phrase “the covenant shall rule in many”. If you don’t see anything pertaining to 70AD then what city do you think this is referring to? “and a kingdom of nations shall...

One more thing about OG is that it is somewhat different on the controversial Daniel 9:26-27. I’ll have to take a closer look at this. OG Daniel 9:26-27 And after seven and seventy and sixty-two, the anointing shall be removed, and shall not be; and a kingdom of nations shall destroy the city...

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

I absolutely agree, it seems Jesus is referring to the OG version in vs 64 and based on their statement they are aware of the OG version and are using it as authoritative. One other thing that caught my eye in the OG was in Daniel 7:11. OG Daniel 7:11 I beheld then the voice of the great...

The “Old Greek” of Daniel 7:13

This thought comes to my mind, in Revelation 6:16 it is the wrath of the Lamb that they are asking to be hid from. I’ve seen where people argue that the wrath of the Lamb is not the wrath of God, they different events. However if the Son of man comes as the Ancient of days, meaning pertaining to...

    Eschatology research how to

I’ll throw my two cents in here, I don’t have advice on any particular resource, I personally like to use Biblehub.com for general Bible reading and study. I will say, in my opinion, that one of the biggest challenges is determining what has been fulfilled and what hasn’t. I personally think...

Thanks for sharing your view. I’m curious where you stand on a few things. In Revelation 6:4 power is given … that they should kill on another. In Revelation 6:8 power is given unto them over the fourth part of the earth to kill … In Revelation 6:11 they are told to rest until their fellow...

Yes, Mark 14:7 says For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

The problems with a third seal famine in Revelation 6:5-6. Since only 4 types of food are mentioned I’m not going to speculate here on what happens to other types of food; it is likely that if wine and olive oil are available then grapes, raisins, and olives would also be available, but I will...

Ok, I’m preterist so I know we are not going to agree on when the seals are opened but if we put that difference aside maybe we can agree on some of the finer points. I’ll start off with something I think we will all agree on, the 4 beasts are full of eyes and in the midst of the throne and...
