  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Go figure ...

I agree with this quote from the first page. If Jesus said that the world is going to hate (and kill) us for His name. Why are we surprised when they do something as simple as removing a religious symbol from a public place. And a symbol that really doesn't apply to us directly as we now live...

When folks speak 'in tongues' on tv, how come it always sounds like the same language

True, it's our job as Christians to discern the gifts by the spirit. You also have to realize that the HOLY Spirit's message is pure and clear, but it has to flow through human flesh to be given as tongues (or prophecy). The degree to which that person has died to his flesh will have a...

    Pentecostals and Prophets

I see your point. However, you have to realize that it's PEOPLE that make those rules - NOT GOD. And Jesus came hard against man made rules when he was here. Never the less, in actuality, a Pentecostal person (Spirit Filled) should be less legalistic than anyone else. "Where the Spirit of...

God created the World in 7days

Yeah, I think it's a tough issue because most (not all) of the evolutionists are not actually looking for truth, their looking for a way to disprove God so they can rid themselves of that nagging 'sin' issue. So even holding up facts to them rarely produces the results your looking for. I...

Why Should i Confess To a Priest?

Being Offended is not a biblical value. If someone becomes offended, they need to realize that the Christian walk is really about dying to yourself.... not trying to exercise your "rights". A dead person can't be offended. The Bible says that Jesus is the ONLY mediator between man and God...

    Pentecostals and Prophets

I'm sorry.... that doesn't make sense. To equate "penticostal" with "legalist". On the other hand, I agree with your assessment about more prophets and God speaking in those churches. I think it's be cause the're open to allowing God to speak. Anyone CAN be open to God speaking, but very few...
