Maybe, but not necessarily. We don't know how Locke lost the use of his legs, but both Rose (cancer) and Sun (infertility) were both biological conditions; not the result of sudden trauma. It could just be that whatever the healing force on the island is; it can't heal sudden, physical trauma...
