  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hagee denies Jesus is the Messiah

My friend I am not jumping back and forth. It makes no sense to interpret Romans 11 as National Israel, because a Jew will not be grafted back into National Israel since he never lost his position nationally, but would have to be grafted back into the Covenant, because he did lose his position...

Hagee denies Jesus is the Messiah

Oh I beg to differ with you. The covenant of Abraham was not made to the Children of Israel. It was made to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ. Ga 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is...

Hagee denies Jesus is the Messiah

Hmm I guess I have never seen a nation that was not made up of individuals. Have you? Why is that a stretch? Jesus in John 15 was speaking to Jews that would later call for His crucifixion. They were unbelievers just as were Esau, Ishmael and Judas. Esau, Ishmael and Judas...

Hagee denies Jesus is the Messiah

The people that God foreknew was not National Israel obviously because many were cut out of the Olive tree and therefore were destroyed as John 15 points out very vividly. The people whom God foreknew were the remnant within that nation, Covenant Israel, which is characterized by the Olive Tree...

    Duty Faith

If you are saying that giving someone the gospel is the same as calling them to Christ, then how can you make the accusation that we as Calvinist cannot do that? Isn't that just a little unfounded? I ask again how many years have you given of your life in a foreign country bringing the...

Ro 1:6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: Ro 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 1Co 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son...

Hagee denies Jesus is the Messiah

Cygnusx1 your question should be obvious to you, but it seems that since you think that I have spoken against unbelieving Israel that you automatically think that I am being anti-semitic. Do you think that I would say that those of Israel would be antichrists yet not say the same about Americans...

Hagee denies Jesus is the Messiah

Guys what Hagee is teaching is basic Dispensational theology. One only needs to go on the Dispensational site here on the forum to see the crazy ideas that circulate there. Proper hermaneutics are thrown out the window only to be replace with blatant eisogesis. They teach that Jesus will not...

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

Sorry I was not referring to AV. I was referring to JM's articles. I just hit post reply on the wrong post. My apologies AV. I am still trying to get the hang of writting to the right person, instead of using the shotgun approach. GLJCA

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

Luke 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when [his] disciples saw [it], they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Now I am sure that...

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

2 Tim 2:15 Study articles to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the articles, to prove that which I believe. Is that what it says? Is the way that we determine whether Paedobaptism is truth or not, by seeking out enough people that...

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

I have in Acts 2:38-39 which explicitly shows that children are included with the fathers in the New Covenant promise. Gen 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed...

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

You have made my point, my friend. You really can not say because there isn’t enough explanation there to convince a first century Jew that their children were to be excluded from the covenant. I am maintaining that the things that changed were completely explained, such as law and...

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

I agree with that, yet I have to stand on what I said. I have been in almost all of the sects and almost all have done what I shared. Your's may be different but it will be an exception to the rule. The reformed baptist charge of infant baptism giving a false sense of assurance is hypocrisy...

    paedobaptism or credobaptism

Thanks for the verse Epiphoskei, I would ask that you place yourself in the position of a first century Jew for a minute. Jewish children had been placed into the covenant as infants for thousands of years. Now my question is would that verse have been enough explanation for you, as a Jew who...
