  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

refuting a 'refutation of tongues'. help, anyone?

I think you did a good study. I would agree the All refered to in Acts 2 was the people in tacts 1, but there was 120 there Acts 1:15. I have noticed in the Bible when the Holy Spirit came on them, we pentecostals would say baptized, they spoke in tounges and praised God. But I don't think...

refuting a 'refutation of tongues'. help, anyone?

I would like to know where in the Bible you say the Gifts of the Spirit were for the first century church. I know some people use 1 Cor 13:9-10 to say the Bible is "what is perfect comes". I don't believe the Bible we have is what Paul was talking about. Granted, there are more anchent...

refuting a 'refutation of tongues'. help, anyone?

Sorry if I miss spoke. In 1 Cor 12:30, 31 Paul said "Not all have gifts of healing, do they? Not all speak in tongues, do they? Not all interpret, do they? 12:31 But you should be eager for the greater gifts. And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison." Also in 1 Cor 13:1 "If I...

I need to know what's right

I would want to know the person at least some before I would want them to do any ministry. If they just walked in the door and no one knew them I would want them to come to the church for a time to see if they were serious about worshiping belonging to your church. Now if it is someone you...

refuting a 'refutation of tongues'. help, anyone?

I agree with Mootay about tounges. The thing that always gets me is this, there are many gifts of the spirit, but it seems tounges is the one everyone talks about. In Corinthians Paul says it is the lesser gift, but we should be eager for the greater gifts. I cannot see why some people want to...

** For MEN ONLY ** (wives can answer for their husbands)

OK, here is something I wonder about women. You get mad when we look at other women, even if it is not a stare or ogle. But some women wear clothes so men will look at them, they like the attention. Well, I guess they like the attention of certain men, when some older men or men who are not...

** For MEN ONLY ** (wives can answer for their husbands)

These are my answers the the questions. 1) Like the other man said, if there is a pile add to it, or if not put in hamper if there is room, then next to it. 2) Some reasons. Some men really like to watch sports. It is better with someone to watch with who enjoyes it also. Men do need...
