  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Am I losing my mind?

Well I don't think you are crazy at all. One thing I have learned is that you can not please everyone. So you have to just be you and not worry about what people say. Because in the end, those people who are meant to be in your life, the ones you can depend on will be there for you. Those are...

Is it wrong to ask for prayer requests?

I don't think it's wrong to request prayer. We are suppose to pray for each other, even those that despitefully use you. So prayer request is great.

    loving one another

Simply put, we are to love everybody even our enemies. God wants us to love everybody, but hate the sin. If someone is lying on you, we are still suppose to love them but hate the sin that they are committing against you. Now I am not saying that we have to be around them, but we are suppose to...

Is it a mistake to send Christian kids to public schools?

If your child is not getting God at home, then it does not matter if he/she go to a public school or private school. If she don't know about God then she doesn't know whats right from wrong. So either way it's gonna be a problem. If she knows about God, then she will know whats right from wrong...

fear of never finding a husband

I use to feel the same way. Just like you I thought I would never find my soulmate. I was depressed and even cried. But you know what I learned through all of that....to be patient. I know sometimes it is hard to do, but God has a reason for everything. Maybe God is waiting for you to do...

    How wicked is the world?

There are evil people in the world but at the same time there are good people in the world as well. I can't say that all people are evil because i don't know everybody in the world. But the devil is busy thats why we must be soldiers on the battlefield for the lord.

How can you love someone if you dont like them?

In my opinion, I think you can love a person and not like there ways. For example, I love you jane doe, but i don't like the way you......... Christians are suppose to love there enemies right? If your enemy came up to you and said they was hungry and you had the food to feed them, would you...

    Are dislikes a sin?

I don't think it is a sin to dislike a person's ways. We are to love everybody, but I think you can still love a person and not like there ways. Everybody has preferences, for example some people like pork over beef or in a relationship some people like one race over another. I don't think it's...

People judging me by my past

First of all I like what roxanne said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone-John 8:7." Every time she started saying stuff about my past, that is what I would say. Matthew 7:1 says, "Judge not, that ye be not judged." So whether she is a Christian or not she should not be judging you...

Why is it bad to criticize others?

I think there is a right way of going about telling someone they are wrong without criticizing them. But we have to be sure we are not judging. Because unless you are with that person every minute of the day, you really don't know what that person is going through. I think if you have a problem...

I really need some advice please re my depression

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. Psalms 121:1-2. Look to the Lord, He can get you through this. And I always tell people this, "This joy that I have, the world didn't give it to me, the world didn't...

You know God works in mysterious ways. Even though you are going through what you going through, God can get you through it. Is it better to pray for God to do something or to do it ourselves?

I have used this scripture in a few other post but will use it again. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6
