  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Seven Days of Creation

True. And in the end the creation of the universe takes backseat to how God wants us to live. However, this is still an interesting topic and, even if I wasn't trying to fit some rubric or schema, I am only using the logic within the creation account itself and not bringing in anything external...

    Question for Catholics

Hm... OK I think I get it. Thanks for all the answers. I'll ask more if I think of any.

    Question for Catholics

Hey. I am curious about the beliefs of different denominations, and since I don't know anything about catholicism, I would like to ask some questions. These are serious questions, so I'd like serious answers... Why do Catholics pray to Mary and the saints and venerate them? God's answered many...

    What is Hell?

Huh. I still don't get it. Being a Christian and rejecting God is totally nonsensical.

    What is Hell?

"Nontheistic Christianity"? Is that a thing?? How does that even work??? Are they buddhist?

    curse of one's father.

Hm... Jeremiah 31:29-30 says 29 “In those days people will no longer say, ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’ 30 Instead, everyone will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes—their own teeth will be set on edge. So I kinda think God dealt...

Why does god allow evil?? (moved from Struggles by Non-Christians

The answer is found in Matthew 13:24-30 24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and...

    3 Gods in 1?

That's not to say boxes aren't useful. They are. Because they're all we have to deal with. If anyone doesn't want to deal with the trinity, just don't think about it. Just love God. And be thankful that Christ, the God-man, died for you. And placed His Spirit in you so you too could become a...

    3 Gods in 1?

Jesus prayed to the Father though, and the Father spoke to Jesus. There is undeniable proof in scripture that the two are distinct. There is also undeniable proof in the scripture that they're the same. I agree that we try to put God in a box to understand Him, and that this practice isn't...

    Seven Days of Creation

OK here's some brainstorming... The bible says God created everything in seven days. And normally we consider that to be 24 hour earth days. But then you asked when God made the sun, the basis of a earth day, and it was made on the fourth day. The creation account rounds up each day of creation...

If Gods Law is Perfect, why is it called a curse if you cant keep it perfeclty?

Nothing here is inconsistent with what I said. It's by abiding in Christ that we live and move like He did. The goats in the above, while they called Him Lord, they did not abide in Him. When we abide in Him He changes us. We are conformed to His image and do the things He did. Abiding in Christ...

    How to forgive...

Video not working for me, probably because of the device I'm using. How to forgive? That can be hard. Even many Christians need to learn how to forgive. I would like to say something like "rely on the grace of God to strengthen you to forgive" but I dunno if you're Christian or not or if that...

If Gods Law is Perfect, why is it called a curse if you cant keep it perfeclty?

Emmm... okay so... here's what I think... NT is clear that if we try to be justified by the law, we cannot and in doing so we bring ourselves under the curse because as many are under the works of the law are under the curse, because cursed is everyone who does not keep the whole law. And...

Hi I just wanted to know everybody's opinion.

In all fairness, I never said anything about dreams at the end of my post. God guiding us is a lifetime walk and the result of submitting to Him. But yeah finding a good church that can properly correct would be a big step.
