  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Vatican stops use of titles for Mary

I thought the same thing CC when I read his post. Why his continuous appeal to authority? Hmmm.... it does make one wonder. Have a Blessed day!

Is purgatory a Biblical or extra biblical teaching?

Thank you for your response, but that's not what I asked. I asked, " Is it your belief the Bible came before the Church?" Have a Blessed Day!

    Russian Old Believers

You are correct, there is a community of Russian Old Believers here in Oregon. Most reside in a town called "Woodburn" which is located in the Willamette Valley's I-5 corridor, which is around 10-15 miles north of Salem, and 30 or so miles south of Portland. A tad bit of information, these Old...

Hmmmm......... So, what would your thoughts be in regard to Leviticus 10: 17-18? Have a Blessed Day!

How is it that the Catholic Church is evil?

Are you are referring to the Catholic Church when you say, "got out of a man-made religion"? If so, could you please enlighten me on who or what man you believe to have established the Catholic Church, and when you believe this to have happened? (date please) Okay As do I. FYI, the...

How is it that the Catholic Church is evil?

So, what would you have to say about 'all' the Protestant pastors and clergy that have sexually abused children, (and adults) do you believe they have the right to teach they're congregation on the bible and human morals? Have a Blessed Day!

How is it that the Catholic Church is evil?

Again, more proof of how poorly you have been catechized. I highly recommend you picking up a copy of the 'Catechism of the Catholic Church' and study what the Catholic Church "actually" teaches and believes. You are not the first person (or the last, for that matter) that left the Catholic...

How is it that the Catholic Church is evil?

Statements like this bring me to believe that you were poorly catechized being brought up in the Catholic Church. Not trying to single you out Dave, but this seems to be a common denominator among those who left the Catholic Church. To those fellow posters that may remember me, sorry about...

Thank you Palmfever for your participation. Could you please provide the chapter and verse from the Bible where it says "the Bible" is the pillar, the ground of the truth, the upholder, and foundation of the truth. Have a Blessed Palm Sunday and Holy Week

    A few questions for Protestants

Is it your belief Christians, by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Baptism, are no longer subject to the "powers" of Satan that rule the world? Have a Blessed Palm Sunday and Holy Week.

    A few questions for Protestants

Answering a question by asking a question KIS144 does not help your argument, it actually gives your argument a disservice. Care to try again? Also KIs144, I am most interested by what you mean by "Catholic Bible." You are aware that it was the Catholic Church that compiled the Bible in the...

    A few questions for Protestants

Thank you study man for your participation in my thread. However, could you please cite the chapter/verse where St. Paul says "The foolishness of preaching" to show us His Salvation plan for men? Also study man, in the future, may I please request if you quote Holy Scripture, that you to give...

    A few questions for Protestants

Interesting Bible passage KIS144. ( 1 Cor. 2: 12) If I may, is it your belief Christians, by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Baptism, are no longer subject to the "powers" of Satan that rule the world? Would it also be your belief, that Christians are reborn by water and the...
