    I have a question

My understanding is that a couple is considered to have fertility issues when they haven't been preventing for a year and haven't gotten pregnant. Obviously, if the husband is out of town or something during ovulation week for most of those months, the couple might want to give it a little...

    The next step... seek help?

If you have one or two factors that might affect your fertility (and your variable luteal phases might be a factor), it's probably not a bad idea to seek help sooner, rather than later. Obviously, you're young, so you have time to spare. I wouldn't panic, if I were you, but I might go talk to...

    Fertility doc and clinics

Some specialists (my endocrinologist, for example) won't even consider seeing you unless you have a referral from your regular doctor. And there are likely some basic treatments that your regular doctor can tell you about. At your age, if you're reasonably healthy, they might do the trick for...

    Fertility doc and clinics

If I were you, the first thing I'd do is go to my doctor or OB/GYN, let him/her know that I was having problems conceiving, and ask for blood tests to see what my hormone levels look like. If you can find an OB/GYN with infertility experience, that's a plus. When you have a better sense of...

I took vitex for a while but never saw any results. I'm hopeful that a more holistic approach will help me find a less chemical solution. Hugs, lovesdolphins. You're in my prayers, as always.

Well, my hormones are (obviously) wonky, so the idea is that staying on the pill would regulate my hormones as much as possible. Then at the end of a cycle, I'd quit the pill and take Clomid and see if I can trick my body into ovulating. It sometimes works, but the chemicals scare me.

That's kind of my thought. The only thing I could lose is money, I guess... I feel like my chronic lack of ovulation is really the sign of a bigger problem (well, PCOS, obviously...) but my doctors so far have addressed it by prescribing me birth control, Metformin, and suggesting I lose...
