  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Dignity in Dying

I wholeheartedly agree with the right to die. Having watched my granddad die, I just don't see how or why people are legally allowed to suffer. The odd thing is, if you kept an animal alive when it has no chance of recovery, that'd be considered as illegal.

Coming to a Nation Near You

This is the main problem with the Conservatives, not ideology but due to how Cameron wants to present the party and what much of the party believes. Cameron can't look nice and friendly to undecided voters on the economic front, so he has to push forward progressive social policies to appease...

Hollande's popularity hits new low as economic strains persist

I respectively disagree, I don't really agree with them on immigration, nor their anti-trade policies. For European nations to survive, free trade and political integration with each other is necessary. I agree that the UK needs to change its electoral system, as does Canada. We aren't...

    accountability partner online

Even though I'm not religious, I overcome an addiction to both things when I was younger. For me the urge to indulge in both of those constantly vanished as I grew older, I haven't looked at porn since I was about 17. A bit of advice would be to browse the internet in more public places rather...

Coming to a Nation Near You

How are any of those things related to same-sex marriage and same-sex families? In societies where same-sex couples can raise children, kids need to be educated about it, so they know why said families exist.

    Saudi Arabia tracking women

Economically they're doing fine for themselves, but socially they're pretty much as undeveloped as possible. What with their oh so free media, gender equality and treatment of those who aren't heterosexual Saudi Muslim men.

    Saudi Arabia tracking women

Christians in the developed world have undergone liberalisation of religion, for the most part a literal interpretation of Christianity has been rejected. Theology is no longer the most important academic discipline, women have political roles and the LGBT community in some cases has equal...

    Church To Continue Anti-Gay Fight

The burden of proof is on you, you stated that there is a gay lifestyle, so give me proof that there is one. I would say there is not a gay lifestyle because people have multiple identities to them, which shape their personality together. Identities can be anything, hobbies that take up a...

Hollande's popularity hits new low as economic strains persist

Because people were irritated and fed up with Sarkozy and so naturally the French people turned to the opposition to govern them. I agree with, Hollande goes too far left for my liking, centrist policies like most Christian Democratic parties or the British Labour Party seem to be better than...

Legatum Prosperity Index 2012: Wealth with Wellbeing

The growth and dominance of European nations is due to colonialism and outward looking policies. Compared to nations like China, who if not for their inward looking policies and cultural outlook, would have possibly dominated the world. It had to do with policy rather than religion, Europeans...

    Church To Continue Anti-Gay Fight

There is no gay lifestyle because an individual's life does not revolve around their sexual orientation. What makes you think that there is a gay lifestyle.

Is it bad to be a redneck or hillbilly?

From a few months in Alberta, there's a difference between living the Western lifestyle and being an ignorant racist. Redneck does not equal stupid, but I don't see the need to drive a pick-up truck in a city.

    Firearms ownership

For me, firearm ownership depends on the culture you're talking about. A culture which doesn't have a strong tradition of hunting, like the UK, shouldn't legalise firearms. Countries like Austria and Switzerland which both have traditions of hunting and owning guns are more safe places to...
