  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

Well, thanks for your opinion, although imo, you're the one who is in error. So have a nice day.

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

First of all, I'm still waiting for you to explain your claim made against me, when you said that I contradict the rest of protestantism.. ..and as mentioned, we're already perfect in Christ.. in fact.. those who are truly in Christ are crucified with Christ, and are seated with Him in...

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

Great, then we're in agreement that it's not our own righteousness, but rather the righteousness which is from God. So, Oblio's comments are simply baseless as usual.. because he mentioned that the western view (and didn't say which one) was a departure from the faith once delivered.. and...

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

I have a few of them, yes.. of course.. although I would like to hear the 'eastern' view seeing that the western view was accused of being a departure from the faith once delivered to the saints.. regardless of the fact that it was said to be baffling.. It was mentioned a few pages back...

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

I'll give you the so called baffling western view if you'd be willing to tell us the 'eastern' view first. How's that..? What's your view of righteousness..?

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

Imputed righteousness is also found in scripture..although it's baffling to some I hear.. ;)

Rome claims Jesus, Mary, and John the Baptist were all free from Original Sin! (2)

It's pretty clear at this juncture that there are some who have no clue concerning imputed righteousness either.. but hey.. who's perfect.. right.. lol

    Infant Baptism

It truly is an awesome experience.. I think that I was more excited than he was.. lol

    Infant Baptism

This is the point.. I too am a member of the church of God which began at Pentecost. It's the same church.. it's His church, His body.. it's not yours, it's not mine, it is His. Exactly.. so it's not correct to say that the church of God has always taught this.. because let's face it.. the...

    Infant Baptism

..and this is why I added the request to not simply say that this is what the church has always taught.. because you're not the church of God exclusively, and you can not speak for HIS church in its entirety. I too am a member of the body of Christ, the church of God.. and I share this...

    Infant Baptism

..and please.. enough already with your church saying so.. your denomination does not speak for His church in its entirety.

    Infant Baptism

What is nonsense is claiming whatever you want to claim, and then expect others to adhere to it because you say so. That's nonsense. So preach whatever you want.. and declare it to be so.

    Infant Baptism

Yes, better to leave it at that.. before you start saying other things.. lol

    Infant Baptism

So I acknowledge that you have no scriptural examples of an infant asking to be baptized, and then confessing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That's all.. thank you.. and we forgive you.
