  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Mr Holy Spitit?

I noticed that the Bible is very lengthy also. The reason the post is long is due to the reposted scriptures included. I guess if you want summaries, abstracts and sound bytes, maybe the entertainment channel would be a better place to study from. Perhaps the title would be all you are...

Law, and the order of operations

Hello, this is an edit of a conversation that I had with a friend. I am trying to share a progression that occurred over many seasons. I am wearied with sloppy believers working to say that the law is done away with and we no longer need it or can pick and choose from it. I do have a...

    Giving and helping

The Bible is very clear that in all undertakings we must be Spirit lead. Anything that is not of faith and obedience is sin or missing the mark. These are some guides of how Jesus discerned when to give, with hold, rebuke and depart, or the laws of sowing and reaping. As with the 10 commandments...

Healing - the good news of the Good News

I tried to write these so they are uncommon and interesting in subject. They raise the expectation. I hope they are showing that if we tried a version of Christianity, the real thing might be quite different. Would love to hear from you. Enjoy , Adam Is healing a conditional fruit of...

    Mr Holy Spitit?

Continuing on with a believers interaction with the HS. Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay...

    Mr Holy Spitit?

Hello, I have been a student of the Bible for many years. I did a are on series of writings in the last three years. I have decided to share these with others at this time. I tried to make them interesting. They are on the lengthy side, due to including the scriptures in the writing, for...

Drinking, parties, loud music, and the high life

Jewelry I include it here to show God's writing on the celebration of beauty. Indeed a side issue, but this shows a scriptural context to one verse used to forbid general jewelry wearing among Adventists. It is a personal prayer issue, but should be taught in context. The first scriptures show...

Sabbath new style, Heb 3 and 4

Hello again here is the second half of the original study, it deals with Hebrews 3+4. I will highlight the process of going from believing for, entering in, and finally possession. Basically faith for things hoped for becoming things real, possessed, and used. The keys to the spirit of victory...

Sabbath new style, Heb 3 and 4

interesting thoughts, my browser is having problems posting properly, Firefox tells me I have links in the writing, I do not. Opera added random lines, so I had to write this to replace a lengthy post

Sabbath new style, Heb 3 and 4

There are 2 versions of the reigning return of Christ. One was for old Israel, where they would be established as an example city and the nations would learn from their blessings with literal Christ as the ruler. Notice that Christ stood on the mount of olives during this time. This scenario...

Sabbath new style, Heb 3 and 4

The purpose of this study is not to say that the law has been done away with or changed. It is to say that the covenant has been changed in the New Testament and so has our position, citizenship, and ability to do good on the Sabbath. A separate study on Hebrews 4 will follow after this...

    What is hell?

An unquenchable fire just means that nobody can extinguish the fire until it does it's job. Like Sodom and Gomorrah, it was unquenchable fire, with eternal results. The fire was also consuming, and there was wailing and gnashing of teeth by sinners I surmise. Eternal life was not promised to...

Drinking, parties, loud music, and the high life

Listening to christian radio online and noticing the theme of freedom and joyful selflessness highlighted in praise. The idea of breaking free to the point where the world's weight is left far behind. Where we carry that heavenly freedom into life to let the joy and ease flow naturally into...

Drinking, parties, loud music, and the high life

Dancing, the flight of the body to launch the spirit into the heavens. Some denominations strongly discourage even moving their body to praise God. Starting with the OT scriptures. 6452 pacach paw-sakh' a primitive root; to hop, i.e. (figuratively) skip over (or spare); by implication...

Drinking, parties, loud music, and the high life

There is a difference between being discerning and measuring by the word; and being jaded and self convinced that you have gleaned all the pearls and perspective there are available. Excluding believers that don't fit the outward profile, then concluding Yahweh has not given them a seed of...
