  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Awww, so you came to the dark side. ;) I was anti-facebook in the beginning but now I love it because I've been able to reconnect w/ relatives in other states.

Had/having a little bit of a panic attack

I think waaaay too much and can't stop thinking about some things so I have to be careful what I watch/read/listen to. Just when I think, "Oh, I'm ok, I can handle it." I find out I'm wrong. I've never read Rammstein's lyrics in English. I also haven't listened to them in ages because I was...

Whats the right way to answer this?

I always laugh and say, "Uh, no." No one has ever looked at me weird about it. I say it in a friendly way. I'm sure if I said, "Eeewwww, no way!" Then I would get some dirty looks. ;)

No. Just tell me. It's Saturday, way too hot here, and I don't want to think. :)

    You were a child once!

I don't think it would be safe to have your husband bring some strange kid to your house. First of all, you don't know this kid or his background. He could rob you blind or plant drugs in your house. Also, he could accuse you guys of doing bad things to him. Does the program let people take kids...

It reminds me of AZ....also kind of similar to New Mexico. Maybe Colorado? I've never been to CO. I am also horrible at anything to do with geography, geology, history, anything like that.

How do you combat your panic attacks?

I am definitely at the over-the-top point right now. I just want to cry between stress at my job, my husband's hrs/pay being cut in half, and now I'm having numbness and tingling in my left hand. Any physical thing w/ me just freaks me out. Sigh. Prayers for all of us!

How do you combat your panic attacks?

I've always heard everyone is a little OCD to some degree. With me I was once told my negative thoughts that I keep thinking over and over are a mild form of OCD. I try not to think about it because that gives me something else to worry about....I hate worrying about worrying about OCD. :) Do...

    You were a child once!

That is just ridiculous and everyone has great responses on here! I agree with you all (of course). :) The fact that I was a child once I think plays a part in my being childfree. I was not your normal child but still had an awesome childhood. I was always very serious, concerned w/ doing the...

How do you combat your panic attacks?

I just remembered something that has helped me with things and that is to have small goals that you have to accomplish. For example, when I started my new job a couple years ago I would cry every single night when I got him. I was totally overwhelmed, intimidated, and wanted to quit. My sister...

    How do you remain "child-free"?

I would think that with as many people as there are in the world doctors wouldn't care if a small amount of the population asked to be sterilized. I'm always surprised when I hear or read people who have docs who won't, for example, perform a vasectomy on a guy until he's much older or already...

How do you combat your panic attacks?

That is so me! You can't believe how many fatal diseases I've been convinced I've had but have been too scared to go to the dr. for (makes a lot of sense....not!). Aneuryms, brain tumors, all sorts of cancers, appendicitis is a frequent worry. I'm a nut. :P You are so right, snooch. I stay...

    How do you remain "child-free"?

I just couldn't. There's no way I could go through the trauma of being pregnant and giving birth just to give up the baby. I think adoption is great and am all for it...I just personally couldn't give up a baby for adoption. I really admire people who are able to. Make sense? :D

How do you combat your panic attacks?

What sends me into anxiety/panic is mainly health worries...or thoughts of doing something wrong...or thoughts of going crazy. Distraction, watching something funny on TV, talking about it (I'll call my mom and tell her my issues, tell my husband I'm having problems, write snooch or another...
