  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Work from Haiti

Thanks LeightonH. Sorry about that. I'm glad I was able to shed a little light. There's been some pretty intense stuff here but I've personally decided it isn't overly useful to photograph other than for the drama factor. I really wish to make images that show a more human side of things...

    Shooting in RAW

Yea I can say for any serious photographer RAW is a requirement. The only pros I know that do not shoot raw are big wedding studios that care less about quality and more about turn over. Raw is a process. But that is what creating a real image is. Anyone who has shot film, especially...

    Work from Haiti

I've been in Haiti for a little while now doing work for a few NGO's. I've had time to post a few images on my blog: josephmolieri.com/wordpress I'd make it a link but I'm not allowed because I have a low post count. Today started off the 3 days of prayer and I was honored to be...

    Why am I a Christian?

Hey Seth I read through a little of your write up. I'll admit I skimmed at parts. I did read some of the responses and the critical ones also. Which made me think. I did the whole intellectual thing for a little while and it left me with an eerie shallowness. I think this came from a few...

Hey everyone, I am going to the Dominican Republic for work in early May. Since I'm being flown for free Id like to stay and do some work. I've been there before with my church and was near Haiti. An issue I noticed and researched since being there is Haitian immigrants coming into the DR and...

    The Plan of God

I think one of the major answers to these questions is love. Yes freewill plays a role in it but ultimately the point of freewill is to allow for love, true love could not possibly exist with out freewill so God gave us freewill so that we might love him. Simply enough it seems that God...

    Self-pleasure as a sin

hhm just a quick response in the old testament if a man had a wet dream he was sent out of teh camp until he was made clean again. If the involuntary act of [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] was considered unclean than how much more so would the voluntary act be?

protestant books of the bible and Catholic/greek orth

(hopefully this is the right forum) I find it a bit perplexing that the bible is supposedly a divinely inspired book, yet It can't even be decided what is even actually supposed to be in the book? I'm not to worred about how this undermines the diviniation of the bible ( question for another im...

What are your opinions of The Poverty Doctrine?

So attributing the success of the righteous to God would not be foolish and attributing the success of the wicked would be? That kinda just seems like an arbitrary I like it this way so I'm gonna see it that way kinda way of looking at it, I dont really think it supports or proves anything in...

Yes I posted to early by accident I had to revise my earlier post., also Yes I posted to early by accident I had to revise my earlier post. However you are indirectly supporting that being poor can be a blessing. Firstly however not all of those verses imply that he will rescue you from...

What are your opinions of The Poverty Doctrine?

Ok being poor surely can be a blessing. I grew up in relative poverty and I wouldn't change it for anything. Before I go any further I think the way you are approaching this question is a bit off. No, poverty in and of itself is certainly not a blessing, however the instrumental value, or...

    Lost Faith in Faith

If one admits to this statement it leaves them potentially open to the argument that as science advances religion will be removed. Relgion only exists to explain what science at the moment can not, but eventually will explain. I do not believe that the educated are greatly more susceptible...
