  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"This is a hard teaching" Jn 6:60

That doesn't make sense! What you are saying conflicts with what Paul has to say. Read what Paul has to say below. Try to fit in what you said above into these passages and it won't make sense. You seem to be saying that whoever recieves Jesus as a personal Saviour unworthily will become weak...

    Purgatory

Keep in mind that Jesus, Paul and most of the early Christians were Jewish and also that Orthodox Jews to this day believe in the final purification, and for eleven months after the death of a loved one they pray a prayer called the Mourner's Qaddish for their loved one's purification. Now look...

One Simple Question for Catholics: How are you Saved?

Lel, When Jesus says whoever believes in Him, I don't think that He means a simple belief that He is the Son of God and that's it. I think Jesus means that we are to believe in ALL that He taught and all that the Holy Spirit that He sent has taught. He is not just our Saviour, He is our Lord...

    Why do we take communion

If that is what you are worrying about when it comes to communion, then I don't know what to say! Tell me, what do you think Jesus is talking about when he talks about the bread and wine as His Body and Blood?

    Why do we take communion

My spin? I don't have any spin. What do you think Jesus was spinning here? Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body."
