  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please help to ignite the Great Re-Awakening in Europe

Just wanted to send a note of gratitude and reassurance to all of our brothers and sisters out there involved in the European ministries. This has been an especially tough and dangerous time lately, and I know several of you in Italy and Spain when the first COVID-19 wave hit and practically...

    Church Planting Question

Hello Tsquared, agree this is so much more difficult with COVID-19 since the essence of planting a new church is outreach and engagement, on a very personal and emotional level, and that's difficult to do now. With that said, several in my circle have still been having some success, chiefly in...

    Is the fourth horseman riding?

It is an interesting question where the answers will depend somewhat on one's specific teachings and denominational tradition. My Sunday School and subsequent scriptural teaching adhered to the "historical metaphorical" tradition, in which The Book of Revelations in general and the Four Horsemen...

Please help to ignite the Great Re-Awakening in Europe

And a lovely, wonderful, merry Christmas to you all. For those of you who've already left America to start your missions in Europe, take heart that all of us here on the other side of Atlantic honor and praise your efforts, and are holding you and your families in our hearts as we prepare to...

    Medical missionaries

More power to you on this in whatever path you take. We've had a lot of discussions on this topic, and we do try to promote healthy behavior inasmuch as possible among our group and of course our flock. For this we do try to stay up to date, but it isn't easy. Part of our solution has simply...

Please help to ignite the Great Re-Awakening in Europe

Just wanted to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all you American ministers who've taken on the great mission and are now bringing the Gospel back to Europe and raising your families there, from another American missionary who will be joining you there and planting new roots for good! I'm not sure...

Please help to ignite the Great Re-Awakening in Europe

Thank you Norwegian for your kind and informative comments. My wife and I are now ourselves interested in missions likely in northern Europe, particularly in Sweden and Germany. I actually do have some ancestry there, a Swedish great-grandfather on my mother's side, while my wife is about a...

Please help to ignite the Great Re-Awakening in Europe

A question I had for any others doing their ministries in Europe, what is your policy on converting Yazidis? My understanding from mentors so far, is the emphasis is heavily on converting Muslims in Europe and encouraging them to evangelize in their homelands in North Africa and Middle East, as...

    ISIS members turn to God...

I had been hearing about this! Warms my heart. As I recall, even the New York Times and Newsweek ahve been running stories about former ISIS members coming to Christ, and converting their brethren in Syria and Iraq. Such admiration for these people, can only imagine the courage it must take.

Using plays to spread the gospel in foreign countries?

An excellent question and excellent idea mathinspiration! I am somewhat new to foreign ministries myself, but most of my own missionary inspirations are involved in the conversion of Muslims to become part of the flock guided by our Lord, both in Europe and in the Middle East. And several in...

Please help to ignite the Great Re-Awakening in Europe

I was a little young when our church ministry network was sending people on the European missions, but I do recall now that several of the "settling ministers" (planing roots in the new country and raising their own families there among their congregation) did indeed establish themselves in...

I want to start a mission.

Great advice and I'd second this. Prison missions are often the best way to get going, both due to urgent need and thanks to an infrastructure and networks of expertise of other ministers involved in this. Even many of the international missionaries cut our teeth in prison ministries, among...
