  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    What are 7th day adventists?

To deny that this incident in scripture reflects one of many covenants between God and His people is to deny scripture. Well, that's a pretty fancy way of denying what Jeremiah has written, that God has promised. Don't use Ellen White for your excuse. God has promised to write His law on our...

    What are 7th day adventists?

How can you say that without taking into account the other covenants I showed from scripture? The very heart and soul of the new covenant is conversion, and what that conversion leads to. Obedience to God is made possible by the writing of God's law on the heart. Through spiritual regeneration...

    What are 7th day adventists?

I did not try to "alter Paul's testimony." This is just a matter of how should the passage be interpreted. The text specifically says "the one" and not "one" like you tried to say. Victor, it's alright with me if you want to hate Seventh-day Adventists, and make sport of me in the ways that you...

    What are 7th day adventists?

Gal 4:24 does not say there was only one covenant (as in quantity) at Sinai; but it is referring to "the one" as in type, or which one of the several covenants which I showed you from scripture. Looks like you are running out of comebacks.

    What are 7th day adventists?

It is unfortunate that you see a need to resort to the very kind of cut and paste that you accuse others of doing; it certainly is an excellent way to evade the two questions I asked you. Should I name the web site where you got this from? I would be happy to discuss Ellen White in another...

    What are 7th day adventists?

Am I now supposed to shake in my boots because you have decided to deal the cult card? Nice "exegesis." One thing you seem to be in love with in particular is to accuse me of "ignoring" something you said, or "refusing to answer." Again, nice "exegesis." Do I use the same rules you are using...

    What are 7th day adventists?

So I am correct. You are wresting the scriptures to say that Christians do not need the ten commandments. You miss many other points of scripture in saying this, just based on one or two texts, which you keep repeating, at the expense of the rest of the Bible's view on God's law. One of the...

    What are 7th day adventists?

But there is a nightmare in the way you are re-packaging the scriptures here. Yes, you are correct, I did a typo and it was Romans 4:3 that I was talking about. No one has questioned "the reliability of the law" (meaning the old testament, in this case). Romans 3:31 is not talking about the...

    What are 7th day adventists?

Victor; I am puzzled at the tone of your posts to me; however, I will try to respond with how I understand the points you made about certain Scriptures. Romans 4:31 is not a law. It is an accounting of something that Abraham did. The faith which Abraham exercised was, that his posterity...

    What are 7th day adventists?

Sorry Victor; I won't be deleting anything because I have done nothing wrong. Perhaps the following will elicit some response from you. Jesus said in John, chapter 3, verse 3: "Except a person be born again; they cannot see the kingdom of God." The reason He said this is because our human...

    What are 7th day adventists?

I am sure you have learned that Victor. it was not my intention to "teach you" anything about that. Although I have heard people say many things about me for being an Adventist; I have not often heard someone call such a great testimony about how I needed help and found it in Jesus, "laundry."...

    What are 7th day adventists?

No; I don't think I have said that so we are in agreement on this part of the concepts we are discussing. It is good to also discuss our in common thoughts and beliefs. I am sure we would be both in agreement, as we discuss how old things are passed away in a person's life and heart; that we do...

    What are 7th day adventists?

Can you tell us with a clear reasoning from scripture, WHY the Old Covenant failed?

    What are 7th day adventists?

Well; just don't accuse me of "dismissing things" my friend. As I said, I don't have a lot of time some days to be on the internet; but in this case I actually did address with scripture; just what you say I did not address. A couple of posts ago I showed from Jeremiah how the two covenants are...

    What are 7th day adventists?

This passage in Gal 4 is one of my favorites. If you would have continued beyond vs 25 to give us the correct context; it would be apparent that the only thing really said here is that Abraham's two sons were an "allegory" of the two covenants; one of the covenants being made at Sinai. It does...
