  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How does extreme sin exists along with a powerful spirit-filled ministry?

While I hesitate to go to the other side so to speak (aka the Calvinists) I do think they have an important understanding of this sort of thing. It is called the difference between Spirit Upon and Spirit Within. The best summary of it is in a book called Receiving the Power by Presbyterian...

If God can replace Israel, He can replace the Church, too

That is total bunk and the very heart of replacement theology. Paul himself tells us that the TRUE Israel are "enemies of the gospel." (Romans 11) and that "all Israel shall be saved." The Gentile church was grafted into the Jewish people and faith.

Why Do Our Bibles Keep Changing?

People can do that with just about any translation, not just the KJV. They find some passage and insist that it means something totally different from what the author and original audience would have understood. That particular phrase I have heard to mean that suicide is ok.

    What translation is the best?

It would be fair to say at this point that Hebrew has no indefinite article. No "a" or "an." Only "The." And that is a prefix ha- So the Hebrew says ha-shabbat. The sabbath.

Why Do Our Bibles Keep Changing?

Actually the KJV underwent several changes between the original 1611 version and what we know as the KJV today. Changes were made in 1629, 1638, and 1762 before the version we know which came out in 1769. The NKJV is the latest revision of it.

    What translation is the best?

Hi. I am new here, but have been a believer for a long time. I grew up on the KJV, but never understood why some people got so wrapped up by it. These days I prefer the NASB-95 and will also use the NKJV. I like those because they are the most word for word literal translations of the 2...
