  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why is creation eagerly awaiting the revealing of the Sons of God?

1 John 3:2 beloved, now, children of God are we, and it was not yet manifested what we shall be, and we have known that if he may be manifested, like him we shall be, because we shall see him as he is; And if Ephesians 4:11 says it all, why do you quote from Revelation and 1John?

Is it possible to be saved after death?

Is it possible to be saved after death? Yes, of course it is! For what is it that we are saved from, if not death? "For the wages of sin [is not being roasted in a lake of fire, but] is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." "For since by man came...

Christian Universalism, Jesus DID save all mankind.

I am aware of how they have been erroniously translated. There in lies the argument. Only God and Word is eternal. Thus having no beginning or end, He has eternal glory. We have perpetual, or on-going life in Jesus Christ. In order for a thing to be perpetual it first must be perpetuated...

Christian Universalism, Jesus DID save all mankind.

Matthew 25:46 'And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.' Why would it be conjectured here, that if the punishment of the wicked ends at the completion of an age, that the life of the righteous would necessarily have to end at the completion of...

Christian Universalism, Jesus DID save all mankind.

Is it bad to believe that "where sin abounds, grace does much more abound:" The greater the sin, the greater the grace! And what, in your opinion, was this man's greater sin? Was it the vile crimes which he committed against his fellow human beings? or was it his non-repentance and non-belief...

Christian Universalism, Jesus DID save all mankind.

More true words were never spoken, IMO. The following is a brief profile of 3 of the USA's most evil and perverse criminals, starting with Charles Manson who was mentioned in an earlier post as not being a likely subject for any kind of reconciliation with God, because he has not repented of his...

John 1:1 proves the divinity of Jesus

Not only was He known as Saviour and Redeemer. He was/is Saviour and Redeemer. Rom. 5: 15. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto...

Does God desire everyone to be saved?

No, but try Isaiah 25. Isaiah 25:1. "O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. 2. For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no...

    If You Were the Devil,

It would depend on what is being defined as "christianity", as to whether or not it would be okay with me. So far I haven't seen anyone in any of their posts, who has attacked, "Love God with all your heart, mind and soul" and "Love your neighbor as yourself". And If you tell me that...

    If You Were the Devil,

Now Deren, I am perfectly well aware that you have been able to meet the "no flaming", "no personal attacks" criterion of C F. But if within a group of people there were 10 people who were wearing black hats, and you said, "Every one in this group that is wearing a black hat is wicked, sneaky...

    If You Were the Devil,

Really. But where does it say that we should ridicule and insult and attack these people? Titus 3: 8. "This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and...

    If You Were the Devil,

Dottie can be mean when she takes a notion. Why just today Dottie sprayed her cat with water when she caught her trying to open the door to the parakeet's cage. And Dottie may seem a little mixed up to you, but Dottie can't find in the bible anywhere where it says that anyone should ask...

    If You Were the Devil,

And I recommend all of the chapters in the rest of the bible to you. And I hope it will not come as too much of a shock to you to learn that the rest of the bible is not based on Romans 8, but rather Romans 8 is based on the rest of the bible. First verse of the calvinist song...

    If You Were the Devil,

We all succumb to the "devil's trickery" at one time or another. But that is not because we are not wise to the devil's wiles, for we all know what is right and what is wrong. 1 Peter 4: 8. "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of...

    If You Were the Devil,

You could add to that list one more thing. "Being chosen over someone else for salvation". That really does make a person feel special. (Calvinism) :D
