  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Bail them out? Yes or no?

In the US, impaired mortgages make up 6% of the total. That is a HUGE number. Just to compare, my country is (thankfully) also experiencing a slump in an overheated housing market - yet only 0.12% of mortgages are similarly impaired. Who caused it? The people lending the money? The people who...

Talking about Ex Boyfriends/Girlfriends to your SO...

I've been there too. I had a girlfriend once who did the same thing - often talked about her ex-boyfriend. It was particularly annoying when we would go dancing together (she liked to do this), because every time we did, she would tell me the same anecdotes about when she used to dance with her...

    Different Denominations and Dating

I've been in exactly the same situation. I am a Presbyterian, and am happiest in traditional church services (and also happy in Anglican or Catholic churches). My ex-girlfriend was a baptist, but with very evangelical/charismatic/"bible church" leanings. A rock band seemed to be an essential...

    Which Would You Do?

Ask nicely. Don't do what my gf did and accuse me of not caring about the relationship because I didn't want to talk about it. Many guys think that talking seriously about the future of their relationship with a girl will scare her off. Most guys also don't need the emotional security of...

My husband and compliments - I just don't get it?

Hey I just thought I would encourage you to keep up the diet and exercise! People might not notice the first few kg that you lose - but they would have to be blind not to notice you had 20-30kg! Just keep it up for a few more months and you will reach your goals!

HELP! How to "win" him back?

Well I hate to say it, but I don't think there is much of a chance of you getting back together. First, you broke up with him. You sent him the strongest signal that you possibly could that you didn't want to be with him. He didn't want to lose you, but since he didn't have a choice he has moved...
