  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Maybe, "three nights and three days" ?

In the year that Yeshua was crucified, the Biblical Passover (Abib/Nisan 14) began at sundown on Tuesday that week. The rabbinic Passover which was and still is observed on Abib/Nisan 15 began at sundown on Wednesday. Anyway, Yeshua was arrested and put on trial by the Sanhedrin during the night...

My struggle on the Bible's beliefs about homosexuality

Shalom and good afternoon, I want to ask you a question. Are adultery and fornication sexual sins? The Bible says they are. Adultery is understood as sexual intercourse between a married person and another person who isn't their husband or wife (example: Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky 20...

    The Icons of Halloween

I think you are right. The vast majority of Messianic people are well aware of Halloween and its pitfalls. However, not every believer at C/F is aware. Someone has to be willing to be the watchman on the wall and be willing to sound the warning shofar. Rav Sha'ul wrote the following: “Have...

    The Icons of Halloween

I understand fully that we are a little over a week after the celebration of Halloween. I tried to prepare this thread to post on a day that was closer to October 31st. Fortunately and because Yahweh has blessed me with the ability to work and a full-time job so that I can fulfill Torah by...

    Was it the translators?

Shalom and good afternoon Visionary, all of my study and research indicates that it was the Early Church Fathers (whose time of church leadership began in 100 A.D. with Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp who began departing from the Apostolic teaching of John) who said that Yahweh's Feasts and...

    Mikvah?

Shalom and good afternoon, the day after I posted my reply, i remembered that because in English there are nouns that can be used as verbs (because the rules of English grammar allow it) Messianics, especially here in the United States, tend to use Hebrew nouns as verbs because of habit or as...

    Mikvah?

I English we have words that are nouns which can become verbs. Just a few examples would the following: Box Boxing, Hunt Hunting, Board Boarding, etc. I think it works the same in Hebrew. Nouns can become verbs. But don't quote me on that because I am not for sure on that. Shalom, David

    Mikvah?

Shalom and good afternoon Khalliqa, actually Messianic believers in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) also practice Mikvah which can also be spelled Miqvah, Mikveh, Miqveh. I am a born-from-above Torah observant Israelite believer in Yeshua HaMashaiach. As such, I am Messianic, and I have...

MJ Only What does it mean to practice Torah?

Shalom and good afternoon u2spicy, I am glad I came across your question. First, the word "Torah" is a Hebrew word that has been traditionally translated in our English Bibles as the word "law" but "Torah" actually means "Teaching: The direction one is to take in life." The Torah is not a set of...

    The curse of Ham

Shalom Visionary, I am sorry but you are mistaken. The Biblical text clearly says that it was Canaan who was cursed not Ham. Genesis 9:1 says that Elohim blessed Noah and his three sons. As it is written, “And Elohim blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and...

    The curse of Ham

Shalom Visionary, this is another example of Biblical ignorance on the part of people who don't study carefully what the Bible actually says. The Bible doesn't say Ham was cursed but rather Ham's son Canaan was cursed. As it is written, "When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest...

    Koran and Bible

Shalom Visionary, No they are not. The Allah of the Qu'ran has no son. The Yah of the Judeo-Christian Bible has a Son. The Isa of the Qu'ran was not crucified. The Yeshua (Jesus) of the Judeo-Christian Bible was crucified. In the Qu'ran, people are saved by doing enough good works to outweigh...

    Question in the sabbath

Shalom AlexDTX, absolutely not. Yeshua healed on the Sabbath establishing that healing on the Sabbath does not break Torah. “Yeshua entered again into a synagogue; and a man was there whose hand was withered. They were watching Him to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might...

    Mysticism Divination

Shalom Visionary, you're absolutely correct. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of Kabbalah mixed into the Talmud which is why I stick solely with the Torah and Prophets (O.T) and Brit Chadashah (N.T.). Unless a person is discerning enough to separate the good, useful information in the Talmud...

    Mysticism Divination

Shalom Visionary, To answer your question, yes. I believe modern divination can be seen in astrology, tarot cards, crystal ball, palm readers, psychics (esp), horoscopes, ouji boards, etc. Baruch Hashem Adonai, David
