  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Another look at the moon landing.

If the moon gives off its own light, why do eclipses of the moon occur?

Another look at the moon landing.

"Past" is the correct word for the sentence: "They can't get past the firmament." "Pass" is simply wrong.

Another look at the moon landing.

Taken from your main channel? Really? My suspicion is that you are actually quoting somebody else's words, without giving any indication that you are doing so. The video you linked to is poor quality if the wording is anything to go by. For instance, "They can't get pass the firmament." It...

Thanks for explaining. Without an explanation I wasn't sure what you meant.

Another look at the moon landing.

What do you mean? Do you mean, "Oh well, what does it matter if I am probably the only person in this forum who considers Rob Skiba as any kind of authority?" or "Oh well, what does it matter?" or something else?

    Progressive Disenchantment Atonement

But where does the bible say anything about an enchanted sacred order? The passage from Ephesians is encouraging Christians to use the heavenly armour against the attacks of the devil and his minions. Nothing at all about Jesus being a trickster. Jesus certainly didn't use trickery in His...

How old was Mary when she gave birth to Christ?

But Jesus had said that those who were not for Him were against Him. His mother was for Him, but His brothers (at that time) were not. As far as the bible is concerned, we are not told precisely why Jesus committed Mary to John's care.

    Progressive Disenchantment Atonement

Yet Jesus said: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (Joh 14:6 NKJV) How does His being the truth fit with being a "redemptive trickster?" Also, where do you find in the bible that Satan maintained power through an...

How old was Mary when she gave birth to Christ?

Maybe Jesus committed Mary to John's care because at that time, His brothers did not believe in Him.

Sorry, how does that answer my post? My point was that Galatia was nowhere near Jerusalem. Galatia is the part in dark green on this map, and Jerusalem is in the south of the pale yellow area:

It's not words like "thee" and "thou" which are the problem. Rather it is words and phrases which are still used today, but with completely different meanings to those they had in 1611. Here are some examples: prevent (1611 - go before, today - stop something happening); carriages (1611 -...

    The Globe

Agreed, but the fact that a day of the week, ands the word month, in English are both based on "moon" is not what God meant in Genesis about sun, moon and stars being for times and seasons. English as a language wasn't in existence then.

The moon is one of the things Genesis says is a marker of time. Indeed, the very word "moon" is where we get our word "month" from.

Yes, no mention of the earth's shape, or even of the firmament holding up the waters above it.

But various things prevent those verses saying what you claim. For a start, none of those verses mentions the shape of the earth. The word translated "still" in Zechariah 1:11 does not mean "motionless": "1) to be quiet, be tranquil, be at peace, be quiet, rest, lie still, be undisturbed...
