    The Baptism debate

Don't be sad... I believe it's a matter of paradigm that really makes the question irrelevant. You're patient, and I appreciate it, I'm patient too... so, if you really want to understand why I'm so confident in this conviction, just hang in there. Unfortunately, or maybe not, I rarely am...

Thank you, and I hope you didn't mind me butting in. I figure iron sharpens iron.

    The Baptism debate

Well... No offense, but this proves how irrelevant your original question was. The gifts of the Spirit are clearly related to the equipping of the church so that the body may be built up (Eph. 4:9-13). Tongues are a gift, and the gift is the proof of the baptism of the Spirit (Acts 11:15-17)...

    The Baptism debate

Of course not... God is Sovereign, and Omniscient, therefore He can accomplish His will through what-ever means. Whether or not it depends on these historic figures being indwelt or not, is not relevant to the Spirit's ministry of baptism (in my opinion). You could make a case that these...

    The Baptism debate

Good morning, I'm with you! The gifts could not be received until Jesus ascended (Eph. 4:9-13), once Jesus ascended, then baptism of the Holy Spirit was sent/received, (Acts 1:8, 2:1-4). The gifts, were dependent on the birth of the church, the birth of the church was dependent on being...

    The Baptism debate

No... I'm saying that it's a gift of the Holy Spirit, and that a gift can not be given and exercised by the recipient until they are of the body of Christ. Being a member of the body of Christ, comes via the baptism of the Spirit.

    The Baptism debate

Tongues are a gift of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit are dispersed to the church, one becomes a member of the church, the body of Christ, via the baptism of the Spirit. Cornelius is a prime example. Kind regards, Dave

    The Baptism debate

Good morning, The apostles, and Cornelius... with Cornelius being the most notable, were baptized by the Spirit without being immersed. If I could fathom a guess as to why, it would be so that people could not identify baptism as a sacrament. Kind regards, Dave

    Spanking

Good morning, Using scripture just gives us something else to argue over... In my opinion, spanking is a useful tool for parents to have in their tool box if it is administered correctly. It's really a matter of common sense, and our rule of thumb is to only spank for willful disobedience...

    Zionism, Messianists, and Dispensationalism

Good afternoon, Question... Do you realize that Dispensationalism teaches that Israel will be saved by accepting Jesus as the Messiah? Since you were a Dispensationalist, and read all the recommended books, I would assume you are aware... So why write the above? Kind regards, Dave

Should we praise God for evil

Good morning, That much you assert... Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. (Is. 5:20)
