Hidden Keys in the Holy Bible

This is an interesting thread for I've had similar thoughts only involving the number zero. I had always believe zero was the perfect number that represented God (for I also believe math - God). All numbers add up to zero For every positive there's a negative. Everything has an opposite...

Which came first, Homer or Bible?

Well I knew about the Greeks "stealing" their writing (as with everything else they had and built on) from the Phoenician (hence the word Phonics). Thanks for that photo. That cleared things up a bit.

Which came first, Homer or Bible?

Well my next question was...how can these people write, if writing wasn't introduced yet (according to the introduction in my Fagles translation of the Iliad).

Which came first, Homer or Bible?

Which came first? I'm reading the Homer epics and in the introduction they state that there was no writing some 2800 years ago (at least in the area). Then I just finished reading the Bible's Acts of The Apostles (where they met with Greek philosophers about their polythestic/idol ways).

Hey people! My daughter's 9th b-day is coming up and I want to get her a good Bible for kids? She sees me reading mine and I feel it's time to truly introduce her to God (at least give her the option to believe for her later years). What do you recommend?

Whats is your primary Bible version?

What makes me think they were ever black? My information comes mostly from my professor at Rice University as well as a few books on ancient Egypt and one called Black Athena (you can even catch some documentaries on the history channel. If you look up the word Cush in a dictionary or...

They people where not brown until after Alexander the Great and his conquests of the north African continent. Alex and crew started to "blend" with the black Africans and thus today we have the "brown" Arabs. Why did Alex go back to Egypt?...because that's where the Greeks learned their stuff...

And that disease turns the skin pale and subject them to the effects of the sun rays leaving them with sunburns. This disease was common resulting in banishment (so others would not catch the disease) and migration north (to Europe where the sun was less intense and to avoid harsh treatment)...

Whats is your primary Bible version?

Yes. that is an entire word and is a significant one. It shows how God's power as well as the origins of people of European descent. God turns people "white" else where in the Bible too as a consequence for being greedy (Ghazi I think was the name).

    Switching to the NIV

I personally would not use NIV. They change way to much. For example Numbers 12:10 (When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriam- leprous, like snow..) In my KJV it reads (And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow...)...

Jesus said this in the Book of Luke. I have to find the verse though. I'll post when I find it.

    Why I chose Wicca

You have to also remember that this English Bible was translated at the beginning of the Renaissance period, it's not the EXACT word of God.
