CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am a Christian man who continues to walk toward Christ some days stumbling some days striding. I love the Lord with all of who I am. I am capable of walking the walk with no one but Jesus without losing faith but I enjoy the sound of like footsteps. He saved my life in more ways than I could ever explain here.
I am in the final stages of divorce after now 33 years married. It was not my choice to end the relationship and I am not fully healed from the loss though the Lord fills the void. My wife and I have been separated for a bit more than a year.
I am looking for Christian fellowship and friendship. I am fairly transparent, not afraid to talk about any subject that can be approached respectfully. It am becoming more and more familiar with the bible. I am not an expert in scripture but it is more and more a guide to who I am. I am no stranger to the Holy Spirit or the Lord's love.
