  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How do you deal with the loneliness?

It's now almost 13 months since the Lord took my wonderful Jim to heaven at age 56. It feels like the first couple of layers of numbness have worn off and every day I seem to feel the loss of him more. We were childless so I don't have the comfort of seeing him in a son or daughter. I find...

Still can't believe this has happened

It is a one day at a time affair, every morning now I ask God to be with me so I can just make it through today. At one time or another I have prayed for a sign, for the pain to be taken from me, for understanding, for mercy, and yes even for the return of my beloved if even for an hour. Hi...
