  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

According to Catholicism, what must one believe and do to be saved?

I wouldn't expect you to think any different. But there are plenty of resources available if anyone is interested in researching. Truth doesn't change, it is timeless.

Fact don't care about feelings. Call me misguided, and ignorant, I've been called worse. I'll keep posting facts and let people decide for themselves. Hopefully they do their own research.

Leo and Bartholomew in Nicaea A reunification of Orthodoxy with Catholicism could remind each of what was lost in the schism.

If you understood what Rome's influence on Ephasus I and Chalcedon was, you would never make this statement. The East has always been welcome to return.

According to Catholicism, what must one believe and do to be saved?

I don't believe attended the Council, but I could be wrong. Particularly because of Chalcedon and the acceptance of Leo's formula over Cyril's. And to a lesser degree because of Pope Damasus. But both were very important.

According to Catholicism, what must one believe and do to be saved?

It didn't completely align. Those who were Cyril loyalist formed the Oriental Orthodox Church. Those who followed Leo are now Catholic and Orthodox. So you recognize Papal authority without even knowing it

It is not chat gtp. I cross referenced multiple sources and confirmed what I posted is fact. In fact, Rome led the way in multiple councils. And as was clarified before, maybe not by the Pope's personal attendance but by his leadership in orthodoxy Ephasus it was Damasus Chalcedon it was Leo...

According to Catholicism, what must one believe and do to be saved?

Spell correction is a pain. But to answer you question: "This synod is distinct from the more famous Council of Rome in 382 AD (also under Damasus), which is traditionally associated with discussions on the biblical canon and doctrinal matters following the First Council of Constantinople (381...

    Cross or Crucifix

Research yields: This is an ancient Christian tombstone inscription in Greek. The word "ΕΙΡΗΝΗ" means "peace" and is a common farewell or blessing on early Christian graves (often implying "peace be with you" or "in peace"). The "+" is a cross, a typical Christian symbol. The upper text...
