  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Easy point to refute Protestants beliefs on the Real Presence?

Hi! I don't mean to start anything.... I and those other protestants who do not believe in physical presence within the communion bread and wine do not beilieve in spiritual either. We believe that it is a representation of the sacrifice and of the acceptance (taking it in and making it...

Baptism: Essential for salvation or not?

I am trying to think of reasons why this discussion is pertinent. I am saved, baptized or not. So why do we debate this? what are we really arguing? One side is saying that if I die and am not baptized in H2O, I am bound for hell, while the other says that it is not necessary. I guess for...

Baptism: Essential for salvation or not?

Well DRA, I will do what I can...:) I enjoy a challenge and the opportunity to learn, especially from one 30 years older than I. This is what mine says on 1 Peter. 1 Peter 3:18-22 18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to...

Baptism: Essential for salvation or not?

Well, I think you both need to grow up. It's the same attitudes as my class of 3rd graders. As far as salvation goes- it is ridiculous to think that anything physicall such as hydrogen and oxygen can save our souls from eternal damnation. This is a spiritual matter of the soul. The thief is...

    catholic girl...and a protestant guy...?

So I know a girl who has been raised Catholic for her entire life (she is 21) and wants to get together with a guy who feels called to the ministry, but he is non-denominationally protestant. She asked me about it. What do I tell her? I know that this could cause problems in a possible...

Hi all, and thank you for the responses, you have been very hospitable! Well, I learned some stuff from your responses, but I suppose that due to my mindset, I just cant see the connections that are made with some of these. My questions have been answered, but not really what I would call...

    My Wife Has a Question...

well, I would say yes, they are inspired by God. This is becuase I believe that God has given us brains (and that includes immagination and curiousity). So without these brains, we couldn't possible come up with what we have. Also, he has created the things that we have to work in that way-...
