  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

At a crossroads with the Episcopal Church

So, a secular law supersedes divine law? Because abortion is legal under civil law, Catholics should not oppose abortion? What exactly is your view on abortion, anyway? I'm asking because it is unclear, from your posts. I will tell you mine- abortion is against divine and natural law, and...

At a crossroads with the Episcopal Church

Exactly. Obama strongly supports abortion on demand. His agenda also includes total legitimization of same-sex "marriage," which in fact appears to be one of his pet "causes." Anyone who votes for Obama is supporting the furthering of Obama's agenda; this is basic logic, which no degree of...

How do you receive Holy Communion?

Sometimes I go to one knee, which keeps me "tall" enough so that even the taller priests shouldn't have to stoop too far to deliver Jesus on the tongue. In the hand? A "fruit" of Vatican II.

At a crossroads with the Episcopal Church

I share your pain, brother- many of the same problems are mounting among the Roman Catholics, though not in the Magisterium- yet. Sympathy for same sex marriage, abortion on demand, novelties in the Mass...I've heard priests advocate Zen meditation in their homilies (!). A bishop approved...

    Question about communion

Shouldn't be a problem for me since I'm currently a confirmed Roman Catholic, discerning WELS.:preach:
