  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The Reality of Free Will

If there is no free will then why doesn't GOD just convert everyone instead of allowing them to be trapped in evil ? Remember, that forbidden fruit was the knowledge of GOOD as well as evil. People are capable of doing good on a human level. James describes the human sinful condition. James...

    The Reality of Free Will

I just read your last email and on this subject I agree with you. Agape is Greek for GODLY love that HE gives us freely and we need to return freely. The lake of fire exists for a reason. Salvation can be lost. This is also by free will. GOD is wanting quality not quantity. GOD does...

    The Reality of Free Will

Sin passed to all humanity because of Adam therefore all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of GOD. No human being is without sin. GOD gave us HIS son who was without sin to be the sin offering for us. It is irrelevant and to try to prove or disprove free will with something that...

    The Reality of Free Will

Because Adam wasn’t deceived and Eve was is proof of free will because if there was no free will their response would have been the same. It shows a difference in wills between Adam and Eve. Why is it so difficult to see that both Adam and Eve did not acquire the knowledge of good and evil...

    The Reality of Free Will

Scripture proves a choice between two trees in Eden. A choice under the law to choose life and live. A choice to count the cost of answering GODS call, again one of life or death. Perhaps this is why many are called but few are chosen. Without free will how would GOD judge us righteously ...

    The Reality of Free Will

Does GOD force salvation on anyone ? Hebrews 10:26 to willingly, willfully sin after being converted there is no more sacrifice for sins. This describes a person who with knowledge of the truth blasphemes the Holy Spirit , there is no forgiveness. Mark 3:29 This concept of human free will...

    The Reality of Free Will

The ability to make a choice is free will. Adam by his own free will violated GODS command to not eat the forbidden fruit. If we humans were created in GODS image and GOD has free will then humans do too. This image cannot be flesh and blood because GOD is not flesh and blood, GOD is spirit...

    What is the true congregation?

Delvianna, did you understand my hint ? Another hint, church members are called the elect by Jesus and the Apostles and also in the prophets. As far as I know no other people were called the elect except ancient Israel. GOD did chose ancient Israel as the elect of the old covenant but...

    What is the true congregation?

Yes. Gentiles were grafted into the olive tree to replace the unbelieving Israelites, that were many, only a few were believers. The root of this olive tree were all the believers before Israel existed, the people mentioned in Hebrews 11. The root supports the branches. The same rewards go to...

    What is the true congregation?

From what I understand about works is that the works can’t be our works, the works must be GODS works in HIS people. Philippians 2:13 Ephesians 2:10 The works Paul spoke against were those of the law. The works James wrote about are GODS works in HIS people. James 2:17 These GODLY works...

    What is the true congregation?

In your point about doctrine, it is very important to have true doctrine. This difference in doctrine is what has caused the division in the world’s churches. Opposition to true doctrine began even while the Apostles were still alive. Over the centuries since then the deception has increased...

    What is the true congregation?

Delvianna, I agree. Many churches teach another Jesus and another gospel. The are about 45,000 different churches worldwide and are separated from each other over doctrine. I read in scripture that there is only one body or church, not 45,000. If you would try to find the “true church“ from...

    The Reality of Free Will

You are correct. GOD created Adam and Eve with free will. If HE did not then GOD would be responsible for sin in humanity . Imagine a GOD that condemns humanity for sin that they had no choice in acquiring. To truly love GOD and neighbor must be by free will otherwise it isn’t true love. The...

Eve and the Fallacy of Moral Choices

How could Adam or Eve have any concept of what good and evil is prior to eating the fruit that would give them that knowledge ? The only thing Adam knew was that GOD told him not to eat from the forbidden tree and I would think he passed the information on to Eve. Before eating the forbidden...

    My worth. Mental illness

It may be that what some say is a mental illness is the process of coming out of this world and experiencing a change of mind. To begin to develop the mind of Christ will cause a change, a separation from the world that ultimately leads to the world to come.
