  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Scriptures says what it says. If one confirms Scripture with Scripture, inerrancy would not occur. However, believing what is written in Scripture after that is anything thing altogether. I do not see Jesus scoffing but rather He was rebuking the Pharisees (who claim to be keepers of the law)...

Do you think Easter is Christian?

If Paul still had "connection" with the Pharisee, he wouldn't have been brought before the Sanhedrin and tried for what He was witnessing with Peter and the rest of the apostles about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And we know from the Gospels of how much the Pharisees hated Christ. So no, I do not...

Do you think Easter is Christian?

I "mis"-interpret severely "remain in your place"? Seriously, is there anything to interpret as to what God told Moses to tell the children of Israel? Is there some special code or encryption that the Jews are to interpret into what Moses told them? "Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord...

Do you think Easter is Christian?

<Staff Edit> I was referring to your understanding of what happened in Acts 24:18 and Acts 21:20-24 and your persistence that the apostle Paul was speaking as one who was yet converted to a Christian. And that he was still a Pharisee when he spoke those things written in Acts 24:18 and Acts...

"Cherry pick verses"? Excuse me? You were the one that seems adamant that one must keep the Sabbath, isn't it? I was simply showing you what God taught Moses to teach the children of Israel with the regards of keeping the Sabbath. How is that "cherry picking"? OIt came out of Exodus, just after...

Context! Read the context from 1 Corinthians 14:26-40 with regards to women speaking. Paul made it very clear as to what he was teaching which many feminist activists deem him to be a MCP, which he isn't. Instead of reading the context they jump at anything that may imply otherwise in their...

Funny that you should arrive at this comment, "At least our human interpretation of it can." That's because you are a perfect example of what you say. Be very careful of what you say, "See for example Jesus scoffing at the Mosaic law allowing divorce or His “it is written (…), but I say to you...

    Are we accountable?

We must always read the Bible in light that everything that God want us to know is now fully revealed through the the NT and the epistles. That's why it's important that believe that God has elected and predestined everything (the elect and reprobate), which is clearly taught in His Word by His...

    Are we accountable?

Agreed. While we are not to stand in judgement of their actions, we are soberly reminded of such people in Hebrews 6:4,5 - "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word...

This would be an impossibility as Christ will not contradict His Spirit when Paul was given the revelation and taught, "Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let...

What the Scriptures does not do is contradict one verse to another or chapter with another. It's all written in one perfect harmony. Scriptures doesn't mentioned anywhere that those Godly women you have mentioned were called to be "ministers and church leaders in the New Testament". It's your...

Do you think Easter is Christian?

<Staff Edit> You demonstrate that you're someone who do not read the Scriptures or anything in context before you decide on sharing your opinion. As for Acts 24:18 and Acts 21:20-24, Paul was already a Christian as he was converted in Acts 9. From that point, Paul was a changed man. He was no...

    Are we accountable?

Paul in Romans 14:21 and 1 Corinthians 8:13 was admonishing the more matured Christians who have been walking in the faith longer so as not to cause the new Christians just coming into the faith to stumble in their "eating habits" which he elaborated in both the chapters. With regards to...

Do you think Easter is Christian?

Please read carefully, Paul was converted in Acts 9. Please read in context of Acts 23 and not just use verse 6 to justify what you want to think of Paul as still speaking as a Pharisee and not a Christian when He was before the council made up of the Sadducees and Pharisees being tried for...

Do you think Easter is Christian?

Sounds like you are not obeying what God told Moses with regards to the Sabbath, if you seem so adament about keeping the Sabbath according to the OT. "See! For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let...
