CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I first want to say thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me! So in order to keep things at an appropriate length I won't go into too much detail regarding my past. I grew up in a Christian household and had (still have) a very devout Christian family. I would go to church every Sunday, I would pray every night before bed, I would go to Sunday school, I pretty much did the "right" Christian thing to do. But, all this to say... I was born and raised Roman Catholic.
Well, it wasn't until the first semester of my college career that I was asked to come to a couple of non-denominational church services and I accepted. Attending these services started to answer some of the personal convictions and questions I had growing up as a child in the Roman Catholic Church. Fast forward some time and I received my first Bible and from that point on I began to indulge in God's word.
As time went on, more of the personal convictions and questions I had were answered. I became concerned for my faith as a RC so from that point on to three years later I had my Bible, my relationship with God, and the RCC catechism. Needless to say, I do not consider myself Roman Catholic anymore but rather part of the true holy catholic church that Jesus Christ established roughly 2000 years ago. I believe that I became a true child of God in the summer of 2016 just moments before celebrating communion and was then baptized six months later in the same church. In fact, my little sister was saved in October of 2016 and we were baptized on the same day - with our family's (Roman Catholic) presence!
With where I am now, I participate in a lot of apologetics and theological discussions with Roman Catholics, since my heart desires for them to know the truth. Furthermore, since I once thought I knew the truth but in reality did not, my heart is also with those who may believe that they know the truth but don't. I still do not know exactly what it is that God has planned for my future, but I am having more and more revelation that it regards teaching and leading others.
So that is my condensed story and I thank you for reading! If you are ever curious about my opinions on the Roman Catholic Church, or curious as to why I do not believe in their doctrine or dogma, please do not hesitate to ask me! (or any other theological questions)
