Chaldean
I was born in Baghdad but me and my family had to flee after the failed uprising against Saddam Hussian in 1993.
From then, we were refugees for 3 years, living in camps in Jordan, Syria, Turkey, and finally Greece.
My ethnicity is Assyrian, and my family belongs to the Chaldean Catholic Church. However I just consider myself a Christian. During our time in Greece, I truly felt the pureness of the orthodox church. Never felt anything like it.
Now I live in Detroit finishing my studies.
I plan on going back to Iraq one day.
