Where are the big moves of this Holy Spirit this year?

Nowhere? Sad that this is rare. I'll keep praying for revival, and doing what I can to lead others to Jesus.

The Historic shift in the racial makeup of the U.S.

It won't affect politics until all people of all races flock in revival to repent at the foot of the cross. Then -- and only then -- can we get real things done for Christ.

Where are the big moves of this Holy Spirit this year?

Where are the big moves of the Holy Spirit in 2012? I'm not thinking decisions for Christ, but more looking for genuine repentance from sin and true revival of hundreds, if not thousands. People lining up to confess sin and worship for countless hours. Has that happened anywhere in the world...

    Ask a non-Calvinist: Limited Atonement

There were enough which sabotaged my previous "from Calvinists to Calvinists" questions with a barrage of anti-Calvinist remarks that I thought it a good idea to ask. I haven't yet received any reply -- at all -- in three forums in which I've asked this question, which makes me uncomfortable...

    Ask a non-Calvinist: Limited Atonement

If you would say that those verses mean that Jesus' blood is effectual in the event that people should choose Christ and you would NOT say that those verses teach universal salvation wherein everyone is going to heaven, then those verses don't deny the Calvinist's understanding of limited...

    Ask a non-Calvinist: Limited Atonement

That's a handy interpretation, I'm just positioning myself over against the Arminian point of view. I'm feeling pretty confident that even if their point of view is correct on this verse, it doesn't contradict Calvinism (and will explain how shortly).

    Ask a non-Calvinist: Limited Atonement

No non-Calvinists want to reply? I'll help you out. You would probably say that those verses mean that Jesus' blood is effectual in the event that people should choose Christ. You probably would NOT say that those verses teach universal salvation wherein everyone is going to heaven. Is that...

    Ask a non-Calvinist: Limited Atonement

First, if you are a Christian, I LOVE you as a brother and sister! I have zero animosity to Arminians and Amyraldians and other brothers who disagree on these aberrant (as contrasted with heretical) issues. We can disagree and go to heaven together. Most of my family is Arminian and I love...

From a Calvinist to Calvinists -- Servetus

Correct, it was coined after his death. Amen. Well, yes and no. Perhaps Calvin twisted Scriptural truth ever so slightly in a way that pleased Satan. If you were to ask Jesus just after His Matthew 7 sermon, "if I see a teacher who preaches some things that appear to be Biblical truth and...

From a Calvinist to Calvinists -- Servetus

By the way, I just observed that this statement might have felt like a slap in your face, that I didn't believe you. Not at all! Quite the opposite! You've influenced me to feel settled on the issue. I just wanted to have a closer look. Most of the sources I've seen have either attacked or...

From a Calvinist to Calvinists -- Servetus

Yeah but I think that's a shaky argument. If a teacher such as Calvin were saying things that appear to be true but but on the side is a drug runner and a mafia member and runs a whorehouse, I think you'd be safe to apply Jesus' warnings in Matthew 7 to them and believe they were twisting and...

From a Calvinist to Calvinists -- Servetus

I'd considered that, but: A.) I don't believe those OT commands apply to us in Christ today B.) The implication of non-Calvinists is that Calvin wanted to murder Servetus only on the basis of being an opponent. If that's true, and I doubt that it is, then we should likely think he'd twisted...

From a Calvinist to Calvinists -- Servetus

Answer: Jesus considered it important to give us guidelines for determining a false teacher or prophet. If it's important to Him, it's important to me. If the determinination of a false prophet is by their fruit, and if murder is a bad fruit (I don't think there's any who would disagree), and...
