CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been a born-again christian since I was 33, although I was raised from birth in the Mormon church. When I was 9, I read a Bible for the first time and discovered Jesus, God, a message I'd never known before! LOVE! Something I'd never experienced in my life. My life continued as a long journey ahead of abuse at home, running away from home, alcoholism, rapes, drug abuse, arrest for shoplifting and a teenage pregnancy. Despite the rough road I have travelled, by God's mercy and grace I am alive today, not just physically, but praise the Lord!!! eternally!
I am now married (for 14 years) to a wonderful christian man that God chose for me and me for him. Together we have raised my oldest son and another son who still lives at home. I also have a stepdaughter (who doesn't live near us) and a grandson. God is so very, very good! Hallelujah!
