    Question About Leaving Church

Ok, I did not want to ruffle feathers at the church because the pastors son left the church in his 20's, married had kids, but believes in Budda, Wicca and others and is a vocal advocate of gay and abortion. I'm saying he didnt just quit, he quit! What would the Lutheran view be in general...

    Question About Leaving Church

Hello all and blessings. If a person who has been Lutheran (LCMS) since infancy, reaches adulthood then quits and totally flips (gay rights, pro-abortion, buddism and wicca embrace) how does the church regard that person regarding are the still saved? Are they considered condemned? Can they...

What does "The fear of the Lord"mean?

Exactly brother. It's been taught for so long by those that endorse Moses, that God is ready to strike you dead at the first chance.

What does "The fear of the Lord"mean?

I'll mostlyagree with PoorBeggar. There is about a 3% chance you could lose salvation. The scriptures are there. But I believe it is rare and would require a person to go 180 after reaching a high level of revelation and a strong walk with God before he would turn.

Aren't all Christians indwelled with the Holy Spirit once we accept Christ into our lives ?

Very informative posts. As a believer from the Charismatic camp(I'm not Catholic)in my opinion, when accepting Christ as Saviour, out Spirit is joined with Christ's. Our soul(mind and heart) is being renewed/changed to the mind of Christ. Our body will be redeemed at the rapture. The Holy Spirit...

    Charles Stanley

In a recent InTouch program---->Attribute No. 2 of Maturing Christians: "We become more aware of our sins and the sin around us." Yes Hank77, Dr. Stanley was directly addressing, naming, and referring to sin consciousness. This was not a teaching on sanctification, or any other subject. It was...

    worries about the unforgivable sin

Yes these men are telling you right. Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden light. Before we are saved, the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, and after we believe, the Spirit convinces us of righteousness! Awesome news! A person's walk must be long filled with revelations and experiences...

What are the Demonic Doctrines warned of in Timothy ?

Yes, there is another demonic doctrine that defends other demonic doctrines but you have to look closely to tell. It's a lack of love. This lack of love is a result of no foundation in Christ, only an intellectual thought process that looks swell on paper and tickles the ears. Proof of this is...

We're in the end of days

As America wanes, Israel waxes. As the fig tree Israel grows toward 70 years old, we know this generation will witness the end. The time of the gentiles must end in this 1948-? generation. We cannot see a time or day, but we can see the month and year. Another harbinger of warning is due America...

    Charles Stanley

No, it's called sin consciousness, or focusing on sin. It is the opposite of what Hebrews describes as a believer being no more conscious of sin. More aware vs less aware.....Stanley vs Bible
