    I am contemplating my beliefs right now, not really knowing where I stand. But I know that I am 'partly' Christian due to the specifics of what I believe.

    The 'flame' they created is a metaphor for the things in life that people idolize, such as money or power. But as i look over this I see that I forgot to include the fact that the flame that they created was inadequate/unfulfilling, and constantly went out. My apologies for making this error.
