  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Where is "go to heaven" in the Bible?

There are no passages that indicate that people go to heaven. However, we do have passages the show they don't. In 1 Cor. 15 Paul said, of Christians who had died, if there is no resurrection they had already perished. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be...

Where is "go to heaven" in the Bible?

It doesn't. That's a concept that entered the Christian faith from Greek Philosophy. The Christian's hope is really the restoration of creation.

    Genesis 3:15

The simple answer is because God hid it in the Old Testament. The prophets didn't understand a lot of what they wrote. If you want to know if Paul is legit just look at what he said and compare it to the Old Testament. He constantly quoted from the Old Testament. I am a little confused, you...

    Genesis 3:15

Did you read the post? I explained who Satan's seed are. The word seed is singular. However, it can refer to a single seed or it can refer to multiple seeds. I have a bag of seed. The word offspring is the same. The word is singular, but it can refer to one or more. The word group is singular...

    Genesis 3:15

The seed of Satan are those who oppose God. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in...

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE STATE OF THE DEAD?

#1,2,3,4. The story of Lazarus and the Rich Man is a parable. No one is suggesting Soul Sleep. 1 thess 5 says nothing about man being made of three parts. #6 where does Luke 16 says unbelievers go to Hell. #8 they go to the same place everyone else does, the grave. 1Cor 5:5, salvation of the...

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE STATE OF THE DEAD?

Is it your contention that Isaiah 53:12 is not Scripture? I posted it twice. It plainly says He poured out His soul unto death. This passage has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Again, consider another understanding of this passage. No, it meant He grieved to the point that He could...

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE STATE OF THE DEAD?

You didn't answer the question. You didn't answer the question. Did the life cease? I gave you the text. Isaiah 53:12 (KJV 1900): 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, And he shall divide the spoil with the strong; Because he hath poured out his soul unto death: And he...

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE STATE OF THE DEAD?

We do have details. I gave you both passages. As I pointed out, nephesh is often translated life. Her life was departing. She died. Was she dead or alive? According to your argument she was dead and alive. Again, life and death are two opposing states they cannot both exist at the same time...

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE STATE OF THE DEAD?

If it's not what the Scriptures teach then you should have no difficulty proving it wrong. Regarding the beliefs of Christians in the past, what does that have to do with the validity of my argument? Christians have believed erroneous teachings all through history. We can go all the way back...
