  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The First resurrection !

Nice response. The fact is, that the second resurrection is after Christ's return, and it is not for the "Wicked Dead" that you label these people as. The bible is very plain in several places talking about how people will live physical lives. I have already listed these places in the above...

    The First resurrection !

I think Rev 20 states otherwise though. After the 1000 years, which is 1000 years after the people in the first resurrection started reigning with Christ is when the rest of the dead shall live again. As shown in vs. 11-15 they are judged according to their works (not faith) and those who are...

    The First resurrection !

I realize we disagree on that, but who is in the "second resurrection", or who are the dead that do not live till the 1000 years are finished? The ones spoken about in Rev 20:5.

    The First resurrection !

The First Resurrection is an event. It is described in various places, but I will bring out 1 Thess. 4:16-17. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After...

    Seventh Day Sabbath churches

Cribstyl, I'm guessing that the 10 commandments do not apply to you. Since they were given to Israel, then God could not, in theory, judge other civilizations according to the 10 commandments or any of his laws that were given to the Israelites. How then will the world be judged? If not by...

    Seventh Day Sabbath churches

God wants us to 'obey' the commandments because we want to, not because we have to. He wants to be worshipped in spirit and truth, not out of fear. I agree with that. It is true that that the fear of God should not be what rules our actions. As the condemnation of the law is no longer in...

    Seventh Day Sabbath churches

The reason why Sabbath keeping Christians pound on the Sabbath instead of the rest of the Ten Commandments is because it is the only one of the commandments not literally kept by most Christians within the world. Moses the Black and Cribstyl both believe, as do many other Christians, that the...

Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Hello Stranger, You have a good point, and I agree with you for most of it. Not many people understand God's resurrection plan, much less that ones who are not first-fruits still have a chance to become part of God's family. I do have a slightly different view of the second resurrection...

    David and Solomon, why Solomon?

    1. No 2. Maybe 3. Did God ever condemn David for having so many wives? He did send Nathan when David and Bathsheeba sinned. 4. Man and wife... God has never said Man and wives... David was a man after God's own heart. Not that David was perfect, but David had the correct mindset, especially...

    Battlefield 2 fans?

BF2 is probably the most fun and aggrivating game. One game I do great and then the next I'm killed every 10 seconds. /sigh.... The difference between Vietnam and BF2 is incredible. Things I like, 1. The difference of kits. -- There is no doubt that the variety in the kits and the need...

Will we be keeping the feast of tavernacles when Christ returns?

The first resurrection is not baptism. Therefore, that whole passage is based on something that isn't right. How does the bible show that baptism is a resurrection? If so, then Christ was not the first. John the Baptist was already baptizing before Christ was baptized. The holy days...

Purpose of the day of judgement...

There is a 1st resurrection that is the saints and those who have died for Christ, also the ones that have not worshiped the beast and those who haven't received the mark. The Great White Throne Judgement (GWTJ) are those that are judged on their works. Take some time to look into some...

    Can you lose your salvation?

Heb. 10:26-27 "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries." If there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, then...
