  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What if you fell deeply in love...

My husband has done that and it's caused so much damage and destruction. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. It is not within God nature to contradict Himself. He would never ask you to do something wrong for Him. I ditto the sentiments of most of the responders.

Can God heal all wounds? (Adultery)

I sure hope God heals in this area. My husband is in an affair, we are separated, and divorce looks very imminent, as he told me he is filing for divorce. My hurts are very deep, but I am submitting to God and leaning on Him to be here for the kids and I. It is a horrible time, but God is...

    The subtle clues of flirting

I'm with "Oblivious" on this one for women, as well as "Listening Ears". I am a VERY friendly person doing all those things you suggest to both men and women. It happens that more of my friends are men, stil. When I like a person as a person, I will tend to even be friendlier, male or...

separation then getting back together does it work?

My husband and I will be separating soon. It was supposed to be a month ago at the advice of my church. He says he's never loved me, that I repulse him, that he married me under duress. None of this I knew in our marriage, but I couldn't understand certain things in it. He is supposedly...

    question

You could get a VO2 Max test done to see how efficient you burn fat when exercising at varying heartrates. Then, you wear a heartrate monitor during your exercise and it figures out how many calories you burn. That's a better assessment as to what you're really doing than taking numbers off a...

    Too Much exercise???

No matter where you're at, 500 calories is ABSOLUTELY too low. Your body needs a minimum of calories to sustain itself and for most people, it's in the 1000-1800 calorie range, depending upon the amount of lean body mass (muscle) you have & activity rate. When you drop below this level, your...

    Too Much exercise???

I would agree that probably 160 bpm is too high. Just because you can do it, does not necessarily mean it's good. I would usually exercise in the 160-190 bpm range and physically felt great. However, when I did a VO2 Max test that measured my anaerobic threshold (AT), it showed I was at 124 bpm...

    Too Much exercise???

Becky, Let me save you the heartache and briefly share my story with you. Mine began when I was 18 yrs old. I got into exercise and became addicted to it. At the time I was overweight and had some excess fat, but not too much. I did not overeat, in fact, I underate often, as I thought...

Seriously Frustrated with "The American Dream" Lie [Open]

If you don't like your current situation, then change the way you think and do something about it. As long as you're in debt and work for someone else, in essence that is a type of bondage. Okay, debt is bondage. Working for someone else if you love what you do and feel you get paid...

What has he done recently 2 show U his love??

I have a wonderful husband. He's always doing stuff for me, the kids, other people. He's the best. Just in the past 48 hrs: 1. He fixed the wireless on my old Vaio laptop. 2. He fixed my 5-Disc changer so I can watch my stock DVDs again. 3. He gave me lots of compliments. 4...

    Did my wife get blacklisted?

As I read through these posts, I was thinking, Wow, all of this over a Christmas gift. Christmas is about Christ, not about us. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but this may come off this way. Whether someone does wrong to us or not, we are to practice love, whether they are a Christian or...

Unless the rest and my normal, Oblivious, I have no words of wisdom that haven't already been expressed. I am praying for you both. Hugs, Doris

    Personal Fitness Survey

I think the survey was asking what we do. I have a R.O. system and have been using it for quite a number of years. That is specific to me. You can use other filtered systems.

    body fat

You can also buy an Accu-Measure Bodyfat calipers and they give you how to measure your bodyfat and calculate what your % bodyfat is, lbs in bodyfat and lbs in lean body mass. This takes a little to consistently measure this. A more accurate way to measure is hydrostatically (getting dunked...
