  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A question to the Religious Right

Thanks. I was expecting an answer along these lines. With all due respect, if one wants to have Capatilism good / Socialism bad (i.e. Good Old American) thinking and still follow Christianity, then your answer is the only way to go. But if you are able to seperate Marx's views on how to look...

A question to the Religious Right

I'm looking for an explanation / justification from some of the many people in the world who seem to be comfortable with holding Christian beliefs while at the same time, subscribing to right wing conservative political beliefs. I don't believe in God but having been brought up Catholic and...

How do you deal with Christian Naysayers?

I really hope that you are mistaken and the person you are referring to isn't really a registered Psychologist. Unfortunately, you probably aren't mistaken. How bad must the system be that it cna turn out Psychologists capable of holding such views? Diet; some preservatives and particularly...

    Mental health, and choices...

Hi CWB1One It is food for thought and it's great that you are thinking about these issues. I don't know what your training is but I would be interested to know if you have undertaken studies in Neuropsychology or even general Psychology. ADHD is widely misunderstood and commonly misdiagnosed...

    A Question

Hi. Getting an official diagnosis "shouldn't" place any limitations on your son. If being diagnosed with a mental disorder does cause limitations then, as a society, we really need to smarten up. Receiving a diagnosis for any condition (mental or physical) surely has to be the first step towards...

How do you deal with Christian Naysayers?

responding to an old post but I hope you are still around to read it. Dunno how old you are or what your background is and I don't know if (A) you're just speaking off the cuff based on nothing more than your "feel" for things OR (B) you think you have researched this topic and therefore have an...

    adhd forums???

yeah. Good comment / observation. meds do help with the maintaining focus problem (in my opinion, the biggest hurdle associatedwith this condition). Problem is, most meds i've tried are inconsistent / unreliable. The only one that works all the time to maintain concentration on one topic isn't...

    Crowded House Refound/Loss

G'day Jeff The Crowdies are amazing! You are right about the genius of Neil Finn. Don't forget about his big brother though. The Finns are amongst the finest songwriting talents that Australia has ever produced (any New Zealander that's good gets claimed as an Aussie. Eg. Russell Crowe is one...

Should I get screened for ADHD?

Hi Chris Your symptoms sound very familiar to me. I'm 37 and was diagnosed with ADHD 3 yrs ago. When I received the diagnosis (with the benefit of hindsight) my school experience made a lot of sense. I always got reasonable grades but with absolute minimum effort (assignments usually late...

Hey again Mont Just quickly (cos I'm supposed to be working on an essay that's due NOW and the fact that I start a forum discussion is a sure sign that I'm procrastinating)........ Smarten up with petrol consumption.

Hey there Craiger It looks like you've answered your own question but just to be sure..... yeah, I would have thought that if a topic is in the news and is current, it qualifies as news and current events. And yeah, thanks for bringing that up, people should catch more public transport. Sure...

    Smarten up with petrol consumption.

See, now I'm gunna have to go back to the selfishness thing. Why should you have to make financial sacrifices for anyone except yourself? Cos we live in a global world with global problems man. Montana might be big but there's a whole lotta big outside of it.

Especially if those bandwagons don't suit our agendas and put us out. Seriously though Mont, I'll be honest and say that don't know alot about Montana but am I kinda right in thinking that it's a fairly rural type environment? My main focus was people who live in big cities and never ever use...
