  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does Autism come from the devil?

I hate the title of this thread. It's disturbing to the point where I don't want to visit anymore.

    Aspie vent

Hi Jenny, Your parents, upbringing and experiences read very much like my own. My dad was similar to yours and probably even more similar to Danny. I am quite sure that my dad (now deceased) had Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). If you think about it, narcissism is the nature of evil...

Need input from fellow Aspies - What allowed you to believe in Christ?

I didn't overcome logic and reason. I used them. The Bible's description of man's condition (Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?) is a far better match for what I observe in the world that what we are told, that man is inherently...

Need input from fellow Aspies - What allowed you to believe in Christ?

You have asked some very good questions. Please allow me to share my experience and thoughts. First, understand that faith is a gift from God given through His Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:8-9. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not...

Hyper-wired: Reflections of a Christian on the Autism Spectrum

I've been thinking about what to say on this topic and I can't come up with enough for an article. My article on Evangelizing Mr. Data already covers most of what I can say about this. From my own perspective, I could have understood the Gospel at age five if someone had taken the time to...

Hyper-wired: Reflections of a Christian on the Autism Spectrum

Glad you found that helpful. The blog is an experiment for me. Ultimately, if enough people find the topics useful, I want to use them as the basis for a book for and about autistic Christians. So far I have posted 17 articles, including a couple that are reviews. The first article sets the...

Hyper-wired: Reflections of a Christian on the Autism Spectrum

I appreciate you all taking the time to read my blog articles and write comments. I will put some thought into the two suggestions for new articles, handling disagreements and how/when autistics understand the Gospel. Both are great ideas!

Hyper-wired: Reflections of a Christian on the Autism Spectrum

Thanks for the kind review. I just posted a new article today. This one was a couple of weeks in the making and discusses how I discovered my own place on the spectrum. It's a personal account. I would love to hear how others discovered their own autism. New Post: Falling Through The Cracks: My...
