  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Flood!!! Whoo Hoo!!!

I always enjoy it that when everyone is panicking over a flood, my whitewater kayaking friends start frothing at the mouth. Everyone gets really excited and they are out running the stuff.

    Any extreme sports enthusiasts

I don't think you have to worry too much about getting sea sick while rafting, but I don't have tendencies towards motion sickness. I have friends that do and they were fine. Every time I've been rafting I've worn a wet suit. Not terribly stylish, but keeps you warm. If you go with a rafting...

    Whitewater Kayaking

I'm doing it to challenge myself. It's been a good thing for me. Along with building relationships with some people, I've grown in confidence. So I guess there's not many people on here into this then?

    Tattoo advice...

I'm not going to continue the debate because it goes much deeper that just tattoos. However, I would challenge you to question the idea that any of the OT Law still applies. Christ fullfilled the Law, all of it. He instituted the New Covenant and instead of relying on a set of rules (which...

    Tattoo advice...

If we're living under the New Covenant rather than the OT Law then there is no command against having a tattoo. To say otherwise would be adding to the law, which we've been warned about. You may think it's disrespecting the body, but that's your opinion. You're entitled to your opinion, but...

    Tattoo advice...

Sometimes you don't have to understand why someone made a decision, but you can respect it. Your opinion may be that it's destroying God's temple, but that's your personal viewpoint. If we're looking at destroying God's temple, which is worse: a tattoo or being significantly overweight...

    Tattoo advice...

It's been amazing the conversations that have been started by my tattoos. People ask about them frequently and it gives me an opportunity to share about the God I love. My tattoos are "Jesus" and "Emmanuel" both in Hebrew. It also opens some doors in that many people see Christians as overly...
